Re: This Is Just Great.....
As depressing and unfortunate this may turn out to be, we must remember that no matter who leaves the Sun Belt, the conference is light years ahead of the SoCon. I would even go as far to say it would still be on par with CUSA. Even if the defections are Ark St and UL, they do not counter balance t...

Thanks for the update. I do agree that the exit fee ruling could be an interesting barometer for change. However, I am not convinced that 4 super conferences will work. There are more than 64 teams already in the mix, so who gets cut out? ( more lawsuits to ensue)

Re: This Is Just Great.....
It is interesting, but it is still just speculation. Wasn't it only a few weeks ago that the ACC was on the verge of imploding with The Big Ten offering UNC and Virginia an invite. I haven't heard anything else about it for awhile. If the Sun Belt offers Missouri St., that would probably satisfy Ark...

Re: Old Mountain Jug
I see no reason to continue the series whatsoever. That OOC slot should be, and will be, filled by any FBS team that will do a home and home with us including ECU, UNCC, ODU, Marshall, and many others. Scheduling will be easier, not harder.[/quote] Wouldn't this mentality put us on par with Wake For...

A five hole single to a career 230 hitter. Baseball is a cruel mistress.

Re: Sun Belt ... Where to visit first?
New Mexico is beautiful. I had always thought that it was a dry dusty, crusty, ugly armpit of a place, but I was very wrong. I drove through the the desert from Amarillo to Albuquerqe a few years back, and nearly got stuck out on the road in a snowstorm. I had left Boone in T-shirt and shorts the d...

Re: Comparison: ASU & UNCC Football Programs
Interesting numbers. We have a football team and we are increasing our athletic budget by $3 mil. and Charlotte is a start up and expects to increase their budget by less than $2 mil once they start playing.

Mobile (South Alabama) has some good Q at a place called Dreamland BBQ. All three facets (pork, chicken and ribs) are fantastic. As for my first trip, I am thinking New Mexico or Texas State.

Re: What about 2013?
then why not accept tentative and file late in hopes of keeping championship playoff hopes? i dont like sun belt as it stands, they are the worst league...and playing for a small time bowl isn't what i call stepping it up. if we can...then go out and play for a final championship. keep north dakota...

Can someone educate me on why we will be ineligible for the playoffs for 2013? Are we going to add more scholarship players for next season? It seems to me that if we maintain 63 schollys, we would be able to compete for a NC.

Heard at the game today the Dugout stuff should be mailed late next week. Address for Dugout Club is PO Box 32159,Boone, NC 28608. I will be in NC for business in a couple of weeks and hope to make the UNCA game. Do they have a setup for the Dugout Club to join at the field? Can you buy merchandise...

Re: Canisius @ Appalachian - Roll Call
I am going to be in NC in March and plan on taking in the UNC-A game. Do they sell merchandise at the game? I am particularly interested in the black jersey that was worn last year. One more question, are they set up to take donations to the Dugout Club on gamedays? Thanks.

Re: Montana Trip
Has anyone looked into flights? Since airfare is typically cheaper 6 weeks out, I went online pricing tickets into Missoula/Spokane options on Thursady and returning on Monday. The tickets are still in the mid $500 range. I looked at other options and found flights into Seattle for $300. It's a 7 ho...

Scholarship or not, Is there a limit to how many a team can have on the roster? Not trying to fan the flames of rumors, but it seems like there are a lot of kids coming to APP as walk ons. Could they be getting scholarships within a few weeks with an invite to the SB?

Re: Boise St. not going to BE afterall
The President of FSU likes being in the ACC. He has gone on record as saying such. While Maryland may stand to make $20 million in 2017, they stand to lose $50 million in 2014 through exit fees. The Big 12 is not in control of there destiny, yet. The ACC holds the fate of those schools in their han...
