I hate them worse than Stink or CCC. I would put Harrisburg in there, but why bother.

Re: Roster/Staff Updates

I think you're seeing the difference between an NFL business like mindset and the more emotional/energetic college mindset. Is that good? It didn't on Thursday! In today’s new NIL world, the one area where we stand out is an incredible student crowd and solid alumni crowd that fills more seats (and...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates

I think it goes back to the fundamental problem that is the transfer portal. There is no more loyalty or commitment in college football. Everyone knows if things go bad, they can always transfer somewhere else next year. How many of our players (or coaches) even care about the rivalry with GSU? It'...

Re: Stink discussion

It's going to be an awful finish to an awful season. When was the last time we lost every game in November, or 4/5/6 in a row? Despite this disaster, I am giving coach a no strings attached pass on this season. We have no QB and a dearth of talent and depth. I’m not sure that QB is the problem. Har...

so I've watched a decent amount of App football. First game against Liberty in 1993.

This is the most lack of effort I have ever seen since I've been watching. It is really eerie.

Is Vegas involved? How knows, but its weird.
NIL. Portal. The fabric that makes a team is threadbare.

Re: Stink discussion

Anyone want to give the weather for start of game and end of game?? How warm do i need to dress this Thursday????? Any rain expected?? As far as rivals, If you have been to an App/Coastal at Coastal and experienced their student fans it will move them up the ladder. I want App to blow them out at C...

Re: Coastal - 3:30pm - Discussion

Unless we get a defense with balls enough to hold a mediocre down-year Coastal team to under 40 points at homecoming, we’d better get used to being taunted and bullied on our own field. Beyond sad. Absolutely. No one is scared to play us at home anymore. I mean why would they be. There was one poin...

Well , it held up for fifty years . We are driving to Mimosa now, among others. Red Tail was good to us during its run before it went the way of development.
Isn't Mimosa private?

Re: Boone Golf Club

The real estate market up here was slowing before Helene and now it’s even slower. Lots of new construction in prime locations has been sitting on the market for >12 months. Re: the golf course, they may have found an out-of-town developer to buy that parcel in 2021 at a $17M valuation. But it’s un...

Re: Boone Golf Club

Jack Nicklaus said a couple of years ago that 12 hole courses are coming. They are cheaper to play and many people don’t want to spend 4 hours playing. I laughed at that statement. Then one of our local courses was sold and is opening back up as a 12 hole course! ‘Ol Jack might know something. Quit...

Re: Boone Golf Club

Is owned by several families. Half are looking to sell; with plans to destroy the course and develop a 9 hole resort. This is the only public course in town and would hurt the community. Anyone interested should send notes to Boone town council to block rezoning efforts. It's the only public course...

Re: Boone Golf Club

As strange as it sounds, I can't imagine the town rezoning that property, and allowing it to be developed. Losing that public golf course would be a devastating blow to the area.

I don't really care, I think this was about sideline passes for parents. That said, the school and its plastic fans are getting their comeuppance with the BB debacle.
