Later in the day dining al fresco at Phillips at the inner harbor in Baltimore and hear “Go Mountaineers!”

You need to realize that at one time Duke was the football school to beat in the SoCon when Walace Wade was the coach, I mean they even played in the Rose Bowl. hosted They played Oregon State. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rose_Bowl_Game in Durham so they hosted. Yes they played as host.

I heard some of it, and I typed out educate me about Everts a bit and then deleted it as I also don't want to focus on neither the past in this case, nor negatives. I am happy with what we have now.

One of the first things Norris should do is extend Chancellor Emeritus status to Peacock (posthumously) and Everts. That would go a long way to repair some of the hurt and division and re-start a broken tradition. Just Peacock. Can you do emeritus pothhumously? Also I don't think Everys was so bad ...

I hope it's Heather Norris and not another outsider with no ties to the school or the community. I think a mixture of "family" and "outsiders" is best and should not be the same every time we get a new chancellor. But I do think we have done well with those that came up through the App State family...
