We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Moving On to ECU
I never expected this game to be so important, but after last weeks no show App needs to build some confidence and fast. App has historically not played well at ECU and they do have a good fan base; hopefully that will not be the issue this time. Let's hope for a big improvement from week 2 to week ...

Re: Moving on to Marshall
No one can predict what team might show up on Saturday. App appears to play up or down to our competition with the final result determined by executing a key play in a key moment....or not. App has mostly not made the play when needed. Hopefully the 4th quarter against USM has given the team some co...

Re: Moving On To ODU
App's only lost one Belt game so far and we still get to play about every other competitor going forward. The season isn't over by a long shot and win a couple of games, get some confidence and shock the Belt. Just keep packing The Rock and give these guys all the support that we can. This team coul...

Re: Coastal discussion
App really needs this game and hopefully a packed house at the Rock will help. Both teams are a little hard to read at this point but hopefully App can come out hot. Might want to bet the over again.....

Re: Traveling to Lafayette for CCG?
I've visited Lafayette but never been to Cajun Field and especially not with the Mountaineers playing. We have 3 going via Delta from ATL directly to Lafayette staying at the Fairfield Inn (special deal). Can't wait to get down there!

Re: Talk about the Gumroots
App need to get off to a good start and limit the turnovers and penalites early. App had 2 interceptions and missed a FG in 3 of their first 4 possessions against Troy then put the hammer down. They did a similar thing against USA. App needs to put the hammer on GS early and often as that is what it...

Re: Ark St uni reveal
It took awhile but the all white look has grown on me. I've often wondered if it made it easier for the QB to pick up receivers down field. Nice to see Roof in this reveal as he has been a huge player with the D this year. Go 1-0 again this week App!

Re: Arky State discussion
The last 2 years, App loses have mostly been a direct result of turnovers and costly penalties. If App plays a turnover free game or is plus in turnovers, they will win.

Re: Official Fighting Nonsectarians prediction thread
I would like to see App sprint out to 35-0 in the first half and then let the reserves continue to run things up. I'll go with 52-10. I still hate Elon.....always all mouth, cheep hits and no class under Pete Lembo.

He was looking good up until that point. It looked more like a hamstring on TV but a knee is worse. Poor guy has had some real bad injury luck.

Re: USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll - App #48
CCU and UL both have returning QB's that are of proven quality within their systems; at this point App does not. That in and of itself is a huge ranking factor...and the kid at CCU is for real.

Re: ECU website preview of Appalachian
App has to minimize the turnovers, penalties and mental lapses that cost them 3 games last year. Keep those mistakes to a minimum and App will be a tough out for anyone on their schedule.

Re: G5 Preseason Top 25
I'm hoping the change at OC will make a huge difference in the offense this season. Zac never appeared comfortable last season and my belief was that the offense had become much too predictable. We could line up and just run the ball against the lesser programs on our schedule but that didn't work a...

Nice that all the other programs mentioned that BYU should play are P5, and three SEC. I'd personally like to see Central Florida on App's schedule for a home and home.

Re: Athlon mag out, Lindys PDF out
Not sure if these predictions take into account the change at Offensive Coordinator. I think the offense will be much more effective and opened up a lot from last year with the new leadership, but time will tell. I assume Brice still has to win the QB competition...McCall was pretty damn good at CCU...

Re: Should be new Yosef/App logo
Pick something and stick with it. App's current "Vintage" logo and block A's are pretty solid. Branding is very important for recognition over the long haul. We are fortunate that that there are only 2 major colleges that use the Mountaineer mascot, so take full advantage of it.
