Re: Up Next...UNC
Tez Walker was denied by NCAA..will not play for heels for 2023..do not know the whole story other than snippets by UNC, other folks supporting the reinstatement, etc. Too bad for the kid. When we play P5 schools, I want them at 100%. They are at 100%, he was not eligible, so if he’d played, they’d...

Re: App State briefly mentioned in realignment shuffle
Can't find it in any searches now.....what is the per team/school yearly payout for the AAC and the Sunbelt? Roughly $7-8m to AAC and $2-3m to SBC. If we were given the AAC payout immediately and could bring 2 additional top tier SBC schools - it is a NO BRAINER. I don't think this is accurate. The...

Re: App State briefly mentioned in realignment shuffle
Not the first time they have talked to us , if indeed they have again. Exactly. And we are staying out unless ESPN alters the contracts again to make it worth it. New AAC schools are making basically the same as us so it doesn't make sense to move. Now, if the mouse ups that dollar amount, it may b...

Re: It's Bur....Joey Time! - GW discussion
95&97 sees things different than others and articulates the reasons for his perspective. I enjoy counterpoints on here. It's ok for armchair QBs to discuss positives and negatives. Clark at times last year was stubborn, yet we continue to rehash this. It's 2023, let's watch the man evolve as a coac...

Re: It's Bur....Joey Time! - GW discussion
This is exactly my point: I never said "Clark is known to be stubborn". You read into what is said, rather than reading what is said. Maybe that's not what you meant, but that is what you typed... http://www.yosefscabin.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=25545&start=620#p351726 But a criticism of Clark ...

Re: It's Bur....Joey Time! - GW discussion
If I knew what is in the hearts of others like you do, I'd make a ton of money. You're only two skills seem to be reading into posts, rather than reading them, and paroiting what you are told on Jack Branch. Please point where anything I posted was incorrect. I'll wait. Not reading into hearts, pos...

Re: It's Bur....Joey Time! - GW discussion
In response to 94's post where he said GW knew Burger was hurt and made adjustments, I can't ask why a kid who was hurt was still in the game given we have a good backup without being a Clark hater? You can. As I already stated at least twice, it wasn't the question that was the "issue." It was you...

Re: It's Bur....Joey Time! - GW discussion
And I didn't say or ask either. Hmm... pretty sure your exact post was (verbatim) "Why were we playing an injured QB for almost a half?" That's precisely asking why it took so long to take him out. I (and others) answered saying because Clark didn't know about the injury. You responded with Clark i...

Re: It's Bur....Joey Time! - GW discussion
Haven't looked for your posts criticizing Clark because I know they are there -- won't have to look hard. I'd wager it's about 75% of your posts where you question Clark (your right to do so) and then defend your question ad nauseum when your question isn't answered how you want it to be so you can...

Re: It's Bur....Joey Time! - GW discussion
Hold on, I didn't say "Clark is stubborn", I said " But a criticism of Clark is he can be stubborn". You cannot deny that is a criticism of him. I don't want Clark to fail, I have consistently said I was pulling for him. Trust me, I don't want to say I told you so. No one cares what I think, there ...

Re: It's Bur....Joey Time! - GW discussion
And I NEVER said Burger didn't earn the right to start. I NEVER questioned that decision. Yet, you question him staying in the game for a total of 5 possessions to iron out the kinks that happen to almost every QB starting a college game for the first time... And he played injured for at least 80% ...

Re: It's Bur....Joey Time! - GW discussion
Why were we playing an injured QB for almost a half? If the player doesn't let anybody know the significance of the injury, how do you expect anybody to know? Burger told everybody he was fine to play until it got hit again and he could no longer take the pain. This is what drives me absolutely up ...

Re: It's Bur....Joey Time! - GW discussion
In a way yes. Joey benefited from a healthy hand. If you listened to Clark’s show last night, he said that Burger broke his finger very early on. This affected his ability to throw a deep ball. GW saw this and crowded the box to stop the run. When Joey came in, they ran three verticals on the very ...

Re: Where is the NEB section?
As an example of why the NEB can't be there permanently... Football is the only team on campus with scheduled use of the indoor facility until after ECU game. So, not only does it take away practice space from football, it, in turn, takes practice space away from ALL sports should they need to sche...

Re: Where is the NEB section?
The locker rooms and weight area are on 1st floor, coaches offices and meeting rooms on 2nd, I’m not sure what is on 3rd (think it may be catering/food prep), and Grand Ballroom on 4th. If permanent seating goes in where NEB is that effectively blocks view of field from player and coach areas. That...
