Re: 2024 Schedule
Clemson projected to top of ACC, we won't be playing a weak Hole team. I'm guessing we will be at least a 2 TD underdog. Yea I know , Michigan and A&M...any given Saturday.... blah blah blah. Not saying we are going there to take an ass whipping and a paycheck. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/othe...

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
Mantis to Maine. Abson to Georgia. Good for him. I'm sure they gave him some coin. He won't be alone either. I was accepted into a graduate program at UGA on Monday. Maybe we can be friends! In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if I was the deciding factor for Abson. One of the very very few college to...

Re: Another Portal Loss and Portal Discussion
For context on the misses. 2017 Stephon Brown. Came with a lot of red flags but Satt took a chance. 2018 Drink came in and grabbed DBG as a splash. Kid wasn’t as good as people hoped. 2019 Shuler was a Drink pick. 2020 Tabscott was a Peterson pick with limited live evaluation if any. 2021 Ponce is ...

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
Harcum to Murray State . I don’t get it. Unless Murray State’s got that much more of a bag than us it’s at most a lateral move with a coach and roster you have no relationship with. My App-undergrad/Murray-Masters wife gonna be conflicted about this. Harcum was her favorite player this season.

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
ECU has 9 in the portal Has their coach publicly announced that he is coming back? Surprisingly, I don't believe there has been any type of announcement  The only announcement myself and others expect is a reworked contract with Kerns. According to online articles he was only paid 325k plus in...

Remember a month ago when this team was celebrated for being like 13/14 players being “homegrown” talent.
Damn

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
Like others have said, this is a great example on why you celebrate guys like Gregory and Huntley. They rightfully deserved their championship after years of keeping faith in the program, and deserve to be praised. This is just the sport now. Thanks to JA and Spillers for this year, but goodluck and...

Re: 2024-25 Roster Breakdown & Wishlist
My worst nightmare is Kerns leaving taking Abson, Spillers and Huntley to any team. With those 3, you’re competitive immediately. If he stays, he’s proven he can recruit the portal with underrated guys. Have to trust it. Well we’re halfway thru this nightmare scenario. Now just to see if Kerns is o...

Re: MBB vs Arkansas State, Sunday, March 10, 6 p.m. ET, ESPN+, Pensacola Bay Center, Pensacola, Fla., Sun Belt semis
The stretch of kerns not recognizing that mantis was a liability was the sticking point. That was the change. It’s easy to make that substitution in a regular season game up 7 ad hide mantis but Kerns shoulda subbed mantis out asap and he didn’t. Arkansas state rightly feasted on this and we lost b...

Seconds chances killed us alone. Abson looked absolutely gassed, and couldn’t even slide over with no one near him to stop Fields rom tying it.
Tomorrow night would’ve been brutal on him and several of the others who looked to be struggling the most.

Hell of a way to squeak it out without hitting a 3 or forcing a turnover since half time

Re: Sun Belt Announces 2023-24 Men’s Basketball Postseason Awards & All-Conference Teams
I’m kinda shocked Justin got the appropriate recognition for DPOY, but then is completely left off the teams’ list.
I get his production was a little lower these past few weeks with certain matchups and CJ plying so well, but I feel likes he deserved to be one of the 15 best players named.

Re: September 7, 2024
We’re walking into Death Valley with the better QB, no question. That’s an incredible opportunity. It’ll also be interesting to see if Clemson does anything at all in the skill position. They got hammered this year for lack of development there.

Re: Joey in an ESPN+ article
I'd love to know this whole story. Joey obviously has talent so was he completely overlooked by D1 schools? Did he have some academic issues? How exactly did we find him and how did he find us? Didn’t he graduate high school during COVID? I know that absolutely wrecked some kids that were borderlin...

It sounds like Lanning and Sark are the tier 1 guys, Kiffin and Dabo after that, then maybe a prayer Kirby would leave his own Death Star for another (he won’t).

It also says our biggest rivals are the Tar Holes lol.
Playing Wake as conference foes and TV $ would be the benefits, but losing our regionality would be a massive loss. Plus our beloved “Harvard of the Blue Ridge” title is not near the academic standard they would want, probably
