Re: So Miss discussion
Do you put in a veteran QB or true freshman on the road when you are down? Don’t question the 70 years of NFL experience though.

I find it hard to believe Matthew Wilson is worse than this, and we all know Billy the Kid can sling it.

Either put Billy the Kid in or leave Dubinion in as a wildcat QB.

Re: Vol Football (Aguilar watch)
Hypothetical and hindsight remark but I often wonder if we should’ve accepted the ball first last season. Only got the ball first twice last year.
Just like today, it would let Joey have no pressure playing from behind rather than nearly always being down 7 to start the game.

Re: 2025 App BB Transfers
Might be a blessing in disguise that we ended the season poorly.
Virginia just fired their interim head coach. Kerns would be a perfect fit there. Such a similar style to Tony Bennett. Probably would’ve been one of the top candidates had we finished the season strong.

Question for y’all. There’s rumors that Justin Abson will be hitting the portal once Georgia’s season is over. Would you take him back? For me, it’s a no brainer.

Re: 2025 App Transfers
Wish he would’ve taken Threadgill’s minutes. Muttilib’s defense was questionable early on. However, he seemed almost too nervous to make a mistake in his limited minutes. Once he had confidence, he was a threat. Believe it would’ve led to a better team this year, and more likely that Muttilib would’...

Re: Myles Tate
He played 3 years at Butler and 2 at App. No D2 or redshirt years. How could he have any eligibility left? Myles was granted an extra year due to COVID. He never redshirted. However during his sophomore season, he spent nearly all season rehabbing a torn ACL from the prior season. He played in 9 ga...

Coach Kerns was just interviewed on the radio. Incredibly defeated tone and talked about how draining the past 18 months has been on him. It’s a new era of college sports. Hope he’s able to take some time off before recruiting starts back up.

Dodd’s poor play lately is a BIG reason why we are struggling. Threadgill picking up more minutes in place of Dodd. It’s forcing Tate to play PG again rather than off-ball.

Re: MBB vs Marshall Sat, 2/22 1:00pm
Kerns’ style of play is very similar to Virginia teams under Tony Bennett. The glaring difference between the two teams is the FT%. Prime Tony Bennett teams shot anywhere between 74-82% from the FT line. Only one Kerns team has shot over 70% from FT. This year’s team is dead last in conference at 65...

Big game in Mobile right now. Marshall leading with less than 4 to go.
Four teams will be tied for 2nd by the end of the night. Unfortunately, JMU has by far the easiest schedule to end the year. With the tiebreaker over Arkansas State, it would not surprise me if they ended top of the league.

What happened to our crowds from last year? I know we're not the same team, but we're still in the hunt for the SBC. Locals and students need to support them better. Just my opinion- probably wrong…. 1. We lost 10 guys, some star power. Some that people fell in love with are no longer here. That mi...

Is Daniel Kilgore at the press conference? Jokes aside, I would not be surprised if Kilgore ends up being OL coach.

Seems like Cignetti and Indiana will be targeting top SBC players (including ours) for years to come. Makai and Santana already have offers.

Lack of Pride and Leadership
There are no doubt issues with the coaching staff. However, the coaches can’t play for the player. As a team, we no longer have true vocal leaders or even hype men. We no longer have backups and walk-ons engaged, pumping up the crowd, or sprinting up and down the sidelines. Gone are the days of back...

Re: Clemson game thread and discussion
I fully believe our coaching staff prepared our team extremely well for the matchup that WE and all of Clemson fans anticipated. All of last season and even in the Georgia game, Clemson played conservatively. Run the ball, bubble screens, short passes. Only pass the ball deep when you’re trailing. Y...
