We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Boone Restaurants Closing
Good to hear my roommate and I weren’t the only ones eating the Shell dogs. Everybody was broke back then…especially at the end of spring semester, right? oodles of noodles for the win baby. cooked in a little electric pot. 5 packs for a buck in the early 80s. One day I was in that grocery store ju...

lot of great memories in this thread, especially Sollecitos.
I'm often wrong but I remember the Shell dogs as 4 for a dollar.

first, our new coach has to earn the respect we had. But the Pack Pride page seems to think he will retire after next year or 27. We'll see. Would like to catch them with a new coach though.

Hunter Renfrow and the Carolina Panthers
I've pulled for Hunter ever since he played at Clemson. All the odds were against him....he went to a high school near Myrtle Beach, and became a championship game hero and got drafted and against all odds eventually made the Pro Bowl. He did not have size, athleticism, anything like that going for ...

Conn beat South Carolina handily. But the greatest joy this weekend is watching the University of New Jersey at Durham choke in the final 4. Again.
On to the Masters.

lines are already too long at Coastal. This will make it worse. No premium items though, just your basic hot dog and chips

Re: GARDENING 2025
pollen stopped me from doing much gardening. I did used to grow heirloom tomatoes from seed. Was always fun watching them grow in Jan and Feb. But the last time I did it, I had 3 pots I was putting out in the days just to get some sun and get used to the breezes. One day was on the phones, looked ou...

Re: ACC
just a reminder with the AAC came calling we didn't even meet the minimum level in athletic money to get in. I'm glad we didn't jump, all the good teams left. However I do like the idea of regional conference with ECU, Marshall, etc. Would make for great rivalries. The question is, where do dook and...

Marshall fined for skipping bowl game
kinda sucks for one of our arch-rivals. What were they supposed to do? "The Sun Belt Conference announced Friday it fined Marshall $100,000 for opting out of the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl last month even though the Thundering Herd's roster had been depleted to 41 players after coach Ch...

Re: Marshall Pulls Out
I hate it for Army, hope they can find a team to replace them. They've had a fantastic season. 5-7 teams will get looked at, but there is short time for a school to prepare for Army's offense. https://sports.yahoo.com/sources-marshall-opts-out-of-independence-bowl-vs-army-due-to-a-lack-of-players-19...

Go Navy! Got 3 friends I've met over the last 4 years. Two brothers, and one's wife.
One was a spec 4 in the Army, his brother was a Lt Commander in the Navy! And he married his Commander, Angie! Great people

Providence Roofing is giving away a free roof someone who needs it, and will do it for someone in Watauga county and I believe Avery county. Good for up to 10 thousand dollars. Nominate someone who needs a new roof at providenceroofs.com . Just heard a radio interview and they said they'd love to do...
