I want to be there but a day trip from Atlanta with a toddler is too much. We'll be sporting the colors in enemy territory and hopefully pissing the locals off in a local sports pub!

Coming +1. Have to be in SC bright and early on Friday, so I'll grab a power nap and celebrate all the way down the mountain. On Thursday we must give our all for Appalachian State University.

no excuses for less than 25 plus, we have are 2 largest fan bases in Greensboro and Charlotte, within 2 hrs of the game, we have only had 2 home game, national televised game, might be the biggest home game in the history of the program, and there is a realistic shot that bowl reps might be in the stands. If we cant pack the stands for this game, it would be a total embarrassment.

As of now word is that reps from two bowls will be there. We'll see if any more show up.

Not just bowl reps, but 20 more press passes than we have room for. Gillin indicated last week we went out and purchased more bar stools to accommodate. We aren't turning anyone away.

Need a strong showing by everyone - but belive this one is going to rely upon the students and locals to show out. Based on what we can see online, I'll be shocked and happily eat crow if we hit 25k. Way behind sales for homecoming.

Lets show the Nation what App is all about!

Well I live 5 1/2 hours away so I won't be making it to the game, but I'm talking with everyone I know in the area to convince them to go and make some noise in support of our team.

Everyone that calls themselves an App fan within 3 hours should be at this game Thursday night, no excuses. Take a vacation day if you have it, or do like me and suck it up for one day on Friday, no excuses. Some fans are driving in from as far away as Indianapolis to support our team. That's the Mountaineer spirit and passion we all need. Doug Gillin said GS fans are begging for more tickets, and there are some still available. If they have fans willing to drive up from Ga. we should have enough Apps ready to go to sell out the place, no excuses.

This team has a chance to be special this year, and this game could go a long way towards making that happen. So be there, be loud, and support this team for 60 minutes. No Excuses!

Who all will be there?
Regretfully I will not be able to attend due to football double header that I will be working. Thank goodness for TiVo! I see myself getting to bed very late Thursday night!

I hope the App Nation turns out in full force and fills every seat, covers every blade of grass on the hill, has people in the trees, hanging out of Bowie windows, and anywhere else they can!! GIVE 'EM HELL, APPS!!
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

Haven't saw 30k since Montana 2012 but would LOVE to see that type of atmosphere again. Bringing 5 along with me. As a recent grad, and keeping in touch with many students, they seem noticeably excited and I think they show up big time.

Agree 100%!!!

Put it this way for me. My wife is on a CRUISE with OUR friends. I DIDN'T go so I can be in Boone, NC Thursday night, instead of being on a cruise with my friends and WIFE!!!

Go Apps!! Kick A$$ and make it worth missing the cruise.

Thursday night will demonstrate the depth of our fan base. We have known about this game since February. There will always be legitimate reasons why someone can't make it. So, we can't begrudge those who are in such a situation. But I would hope those who can make it, make the effort to be there. If several thousand Eagle fans make the trip and we fail to fill up KBS, that will resonate with the bowl reps.

I am not a betting man but I'd take App to cover that spread but not a whole heck of a lot more.

The line has dropped with more money being bet on The Gumroots, I just have a feeling that App is going to stomp a mud hole in them... We have too much offense for them to contain for 4 quarters and our defensive is ready this year...Looking for a double digit win....That's right

BTW, saw where Chapman is listed as probable on the injury report. Law not listed at all suggesting he is good to go and could, in fact, have gone back in on Saturday. Hunter Nunn is doubtful.

There's 5 of us heading up the mountain, 4 from Wilmington and one from Keowee, SC. We decided to go when the schedule was announced and bought our tickets the day single tickets became available.

Class of 68, 70, and 73 represented!

I'll be there Thursday, leaving as soon as school lets out. Taking a day off from teaching Friday, but have to turn around Friday am and take some of my tennis players to regionals in Burlington. There goes my long weekend, but at least I'll be there Thursday

For the Stink, I believe it is around 2,000. Sections 108 and 109.

Looks like we have already released to them 208 and their fans have also been purchasing in 209, which is also sold out.
