I don't really care, I think this was about sideline passes for parents. That said, the school and its plastic fans are getting their comeuppance with the BB debacle.

One of the college football reporters say this morning on "Get Up" that the word was during the Bye Week he took a weeks vacation - He said he'd heard of a HC taking an afternoon off during the Bye Week to play golf but had never ever of a HC taking the week off -
"Montani Semper Liberi"

Going to include the WRAL article from 10/6.
"Even after the Clemson loss, the feeling within the UNC athletic department remains the same. Given the investment made in Belichick, patience is the path, but they also understand that they hired Belichick knowing he didn't have college experience. They would like to help and support the coaches and players, but the staff needs to be open to that help as well. According to Belichick's contract, the buyout would be $20 million at the end of this year."
Anyone want to make a prediction if Belichick makes it to the end of the season with his job?

Re: UNC-CH FB Recruiting Violatons?
It all comes down to what all UNC can prove. A lot of major boosters are done with him but don't want to pay him a buyout. If they have enough hard evidence to fire him with cause then he won't finish the year. I am wondering also if UNC is going to wait until he loses 6 games and then move on from him. Lombardi claims they need 3 years but they brought in over 70 players this year. You can completely turn a roster over and if he is the greatest coach then he should be able to at least improve from their 2024 record.RaleighApp27609 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 09, 2025 9:56 amGoing to include the WRAL article from 10/6.

Someone reported that Bill was looking into buyout options but that was said to not be true yet. I bet if he can land another big money job that he would do it. People say he does not need the money but he is spending a ton on Jordon. He better get big money so he isn't broke before things end with her. lol

Re: UNC-CH FB Recruiting Violatons?
I’m shocked this isn’t working out for UNC. He looks hyper focused on the sidelines.
Jokes aside it should have been obvious to ANYONE that actually cared about their program that Bill is pulling the ultimate grift. If we had a head coach playing footsie with his girlfriend on the sidelines while we got curbstomped I’d want him fired yesterday. Or the AD for not firing him.
If anything it shows how deeply unserious UNC is about their football program.

Re: UNC-CH FB Recruiting Violatons?
this is true and absolutely hilarous. I was focused on the irony of giving players hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars to play football for them and then those players being charged for selling tickets for 50 bucks or so...if they can find a buyer.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Wed Oct 08, 2025 8:32 pmHow ironic that after trying to cover up decades of cheating, now they want to uncover cheating so they can fire Bill and not pay him. Typical assholes. If they were winning, they’d lawyer up and tell the NCAA it was none of their business.
This is beyond movie material. Cover up cheating for decades while talking about the "carolina way" only to turn around and try to sniff out the most pitiful infraction they can find just to get the coach out of the program because he bamboozled them out of tens of millions of dollars to turn their laughing stock football program into one that is now in a state that can only be rivaled by the SMU death penalty days. Welcome to the ACC Mustangs! You are now the pride of the conference by default!!!

Mack posted a pic from golfing at Diamond Creek near Banner Elk yesterday as all this was hitting the fan.
Unironically, Mack would be a great interim coach.

Re: UNC-CH FB Recruiting Violatons?
Interesting bets. Hard to know if he finishes the year without knowing what the admin really thinks and if they are truly trying to get the evidence to fire him with cause. I am fully confident he won't be the UNC head coach in 2026 though. I do think UNC covers that 3.5 game spread and wins 4, maybe 5 games.RaleighApp27609 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 09, 2025 2:07 pmCheck out the betting lines on Belichick (https://www.louisianasports.net/2025/10 ... t-stories/):AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 09, 2025 11:37 amIt all comes down to what all UNC can prove. They are not firing bellicheck. This item is not at that level. Chancellor Roberts hands are all over this hire.
