Bruce Pearl's smart. And he's known for playing non-P5 road games. I'll always credit him for scheduling the game when he didn't have to.

Sounds like a bunch of coach talk. It makes it sound like it was "A plan that worked out." Instead of a boneheaded loss that happened to be followed by a quality win. The only part that is probably true is that likes to play a g5 here and there because of his Milwaukee days.

Lessons aren’t taught by wins and losses. They are taught from adversity and being comfortable in uncomfortable situations.

Pearl is known for scheduling road games at mid-majors. It is good for his team to go into hostile environments before sec action. From time to time, he will have a loss. He has a young guard and the App like games will help that guard.

Never been a fan of Pearl for a variety of reasons but have to say that I respect that he hasn't forgotten from whence he came. So many get there and forget what they endured in the earlier stages of their careers. Kudos to him.

Re: Interesting article about App/Auburn
In his pre and post game interviews (around the app game) he talked about why testing his team on the road was so important. I wouldn’t call it coach speak because he’s been very consistent about how deliberate and necessary true road games are.appdaze wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 10:38 pmSounds like a bunch of coach talk. Say what you want about Coach Pearl and what happened at Tennessee. But Bruce is a good guy.

It's gonna be close. We've got the best shot we've had since Fancher's big year.
