As I said we contacted our AD and they said the 2012 numbers are incorrect, no idea what the correct numbers are, but given the money coming in from football even the rough conservative estimate would indicate that they number listed is way low, which would of course lower the % of the student subsidy of the total revenue.

Anyway - good luck guys. With the season about to start for both us seems like we have better things to bicker about with teams we will actually be playing. I look forward to rolling up to Boone in basketball later in the year!

In my opinion embodies all this is wrong with America today. No one can assume any accountability for anything. It seems like no one has the balls to say three simple words, "I was wrong". As opposed to being a man a taking lumps people prefer to dig themselves into deeper holes. I see it all the time at work. People far prefer to point fingers and are always last to admit they made a mistake. If you own up to your mistakes people will be far more willing to forgive you when they occur as they undoubtedly will for all of us. I wish peoples prides didn't get in the way of being honest to oneself. But alas it always does, especially on message boards. Per the AD, as of early May $7,167,831 (that includes capital gifts/FSLs/etc). 49er club fiscal year end was June 30th so we should have the final figure when the yearly guide comes out. I will gladly post a picture here if anyone would like to see the final figure.

you are correct, the kids have not signed the LOI, and yes, I would be surprised if they all sign with us in January, but, answer me this, how many UNCC recruits, who have verbally committed to you, have also strong interest from BCS schools or atleast mid major established programs? Almost all our recruits are going to get stronger interest from BCS/mid major programs as the year go on, and many will probably receive schlorship offers. This, in my opinion is a good thing, it means we are getting serious attention and consideration already from kids who, just a couple of years ago, would have not even considered us. Again, my point is, App is years ahead of UNCC in terms of recruiting, facilities, tradition, fan support, both at home games and away games, financial support (yosef club raised over 3 million last year), at this time, and in the near future, it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense from UNCC's perspective, and App's perspective to be playing. You guys get your house in order, establish yourselves, catch App, which I have a feeling you will eventually, and then lets talk about a ballgame.

Once again it is July. The strong interest from BCS programs could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on whether you keep the kid or not. Our recruiting so far this year isn't highly ranked but last year’s class had guys with offers from BCS programs.

As far as what App is ahead of us at, I give you tradition and fan support (football only). 49er club donations were higher than $3 million per year before football. Other than on the field performance and stadium size there is nothing else we have to "catch up" with.

I haven't read any further and someone probably has a reply for this....App grads are a lot of criminal justice and teachers.....both don't pay worth a crap, so it's hard to give money when you don't make much to begin with....Wofford raises a hell of a lot more than us with, because they end up being CEOs and lawyers...that's the difference...
