We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Coach Rob Bet
Rob left Boone in 2002 or so. He and Jerry were very close. Stepson Craig Styron was a tough , and effective WR for us. I think he made the miracle catch to beat JMU up there in the late 90s.

Coach Best was an awesome source for high school coaches. He, Coach Horton, and coach Searles always had an open door.

Re: Coach Rob Bet
It's really good to see some nice things said about Coach Best on here after he was dissed nearly every single day in the first while of the old Delphi Board even after he and another staff member or two helped save the lives of the cheer leaders one night on 105. Given, he did stay past his expiration date at App thanks to Coach Moore's loyalty to him and their longevity to gether. If it wasn't him, please excuse the post.
Anyway, RIP Coach Best and prayers for the family and friends..

Re: Coach Rob Bet
It was Rob because many felt he was boring and predictable calling plays. I was told he was one of the best at preparing for a team but was just way too conservative and not creative in calling the plays.NewApp wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 1:31 pmIt's really good to see some nice things said about Coach Best on here after he was dissed nearly every single day in the first while of the old Delphi Board even after he and another staff member or two helped save the lives of the cheer leaders one night on 105. With that said, Rob was a great man and a hard worker. He loved App and was indeed very close with Jerry Moore. I hate to hear he passed. RIP Rob Best.

Re: Coach Rob Bet
I had heard that as well. I miss those 3 men from that point. I think the times started to pass him by when he left in terms of calling plays but I'm sure he was a great AD and I know he was a good guy. I hope we have coaches on staff now that have the same rep with HS coaches that Horton, Best, and Searles had.ballcoach23 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 1:28 pmCoach Best was an awesome source for high school coaches.
