Which is better (or worse): Dec 23 or Dec 26
Seemed to be the sentiment of some on this board on this board that a Dec 23 game would be a bad fit due to travel on Christmas Eve. So the possible St Pete Bowl would require travel on Christmas Day. Which is the better option? I fear either of those will spell very low App turnout.

I'll go to either one. I'd prefer one of those two so I don't have to take a day off from work.
With that said, I'll go to New Orleans, Montgomery, or Orlando. I'll probably not go to Las Vegas if that happens to be where we play.

St. Pete is an 11 AM kick-off...that's going to be hard to pull off!
A quick look at round-trip tickets from RDU shows $450 and lands at 10:23 AM...not sure I could get to the stadium in time for kick-off...that was the earliest arrival from here. Didn't check CLT, but would assume there are is at least one flight which would arrive in time for kick-off. IMO the best part of the bowl experience is getting to hang out with friends and family from our college days. Neither of these games allow for that unless we're able to convince the family to celebrate Christmas in a hotel room.

The 23rd is worse for me. We will have been together with both sides of the family and would be free to travel late afternoon on the 25th. Flew to New Orleans once on Christmas Day and it was a breeze.

Personally I couldn't do either, but I'd have to think the 26th is worse. At least with a game on the 23rd you can be home by Christmas.
