USSMNT v. Guatamala Rematch--Must Win for Klinsmann

Unread post by asu66 » Mon Mar 28, 2016 11:10 am

Another hiccup, shutout loss to a supposedly inferior Guatamala team has the US Men's National Team in jeopardy and coach Jurgen Klinsmann under the most severe pressure he's experienced as head man of the good guys. Tuesday night's rematch on the US team's home pitch in Columbus, OH could get ugly for Klinsmann if his team fails to rebound strongly.

I can't see him surviving regardless of the outcome. His constant playing people out of position makes no sense whatsoever. I admit to being hopeful upon his appointment but there is very little to show lately. It's hard to see any progress, especially over the last year.

We could have skated with 6 points toward a World Cup spot and now we have to scramble...kind of like me at exam time.....

US soccer is frustrating to watch. At least Klinsman is trying to play "soccer",but we are so far behind in developing players. Guess it must have to do with the "want it now, immediate satisfaction" American culture. We seem to do well and more than hold our own until our boys grow into men, when our technical deficiencies , lack of creativity and lack of patience become glaringly obvious. No wonder Klimsman goes after international players!
