Kansas City Chiefs @ Washington No-Name
Been watching KC at Washington prior to the start of the Mountaineers-Niners game in hopes that Washington would finally show some signs of being a real professional football club worthy to be listed on the NFL website. Well, not so much.
At 9:45 in the second quarter, it's KC 31, WashDC 0 -- and KC has already had one TD called back. Methinks the Mike Shanahan Nepotism Project can officially be called "over." Dan Snyder now has two offseason projects to oversee. His team isn't worthy of its historic and controversial mascot nickname. Nor is his coaching staff getting its job done. One should, at least, expect improvement from one season to another. Regression/back-sliding is not highly valued in pro sports.

That's your opinion, but I don't share it. I was willing to tolerate the Panthers while AE was under their contract; but "Quoth the raven, 'Nevermore.' "mtnjax wrote:who cares??

This was Dolphin country looooooong before it was Panther country. Although the Panthers are my backup NFC team. Back on topic......Shanahan isn't the issue nor is Snyder. At the most important position in sports (QB) you are limping out RG3. When healthy you guys are more than competitive, but injured you are what you currently are.

I don't know what's worse, Redskin football or App basketball??? When does baseball season begin?asu66 wrote:Been watching KC at Washington prior to the start of the Mountaineers-Niners game in hopes that Washington would finally show some signs of being a real professional football club worthy to be listed on the NFL website. Nice try, but RGIII doesn't play on defense; although he did make one of the best defensive plays of the day for his team. Washington's defense would have given up 45 first half points if one KC TD hadn't been taken off the board on a review.ASUPATCH wrote:This was Dolphin country looooooong before it was Panther country. "LANDOVER, Md. (AP) -- The first quarter was so lopsided that nearly all the footprints in the snow were on one side of the 50. That discrepancy was quickly corrected when the teams changed sides, just part of the visual record of the Kansas City Chiefs' thorough embarrassment of the Washington Redskins.
The score was 17-0 after the first quarter and 38-10 at halftime. Quintin Demps immediately answered the lone Redskins touchdown with a 95-yard kickoff return that resembled at times a winter stroll, part of a stunning tally of 321 return yards by Kansas City in the first half alone."

This used to be Redskins country back in the day and I am still a Redskins fan. Its a hard life most of the time. Sometimes I try to be a hockey fan this time of year to relieve the pain..but always come back to the Redskins.
Give Em Hell!!

I really missed a chance to for Flacco/AE joke in there that could have been even better. I hate missing a good joke and then thinking of it later.asu66 wrote:McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:So are you a Baltimore or a Washington fan? The Redskins are changing their name. Washington is making them look bad.

You were willing to "tolerate" the local team? Odd. I can understand remaining loyal to your long-time team, but what causes the Panthers to be intolerable?asu66 wrote:That's your opinion, but I don't share it.
