Re: Mike Neal
Most of us have had that same concern all summer; but those in the know say that Neal is still expected to be be back and eligible when it counts. I've tried to keep up with his academics and by my count (which means appsolutely nothing to the university) he was going to be well short of the number of semester hours he'd need to be classified as a senior in the fall without some very strong and successful summer school work. Others were/are in my camp on this, but "the street" seems to believe he's away somewhere getting the hours and grade points he needs to be classified as a senior and eligible for his final year of college basketball.app97 wrote:is not on the roster on appstatesports. I suppose that clears up some questions that some of us had.
The bottom line, you ask? Neal has to have a minimum of 60 semester credit hours toward his degree and a cumulative GPA of 2.00 to return to school as a first semester senior. According to ASU academic literature, he can acquire those hours at a community college or in an "accredited" online institution as long as the coursework has ASU's advanced approval. Some of you folks know Neal personally. Does he possess the discipline, drive and determination to get this done by mid-August?
I guess we'll know sometime next month.
