Unread post by app97 » Sat Jun 21, 2014 1:03 pm

the director of bball operations position is now listed on the university employment site. I don't remember us ever having anyone in that position in the past...hopefully this person can help to promote the program andy help us rise in mid-major credibility.

While usually the duties of DBO include travel, meals, schedules and all the things that deal with day to day operations, in many cases this person has been or wants to be a coach and many hire former coaches for this position - I have no idea about this position in regards to APP now or in the past ---

We've never had a DOBO before. The new hire will be the first one.

Houston had a couple of guys on staff who had the title of DBO. Never knew if they were GAs, part-timers or volunteers. As I recall one was fairly young, the other guy was a former high school head coach from out of state.
