We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Limited experience as HC but, in my opinion, would be a great get for the program.

EDIT: Interesting in the sense that I have never heard his name mentioned before. As stated below, we have our own candidates that are better qualified.

I'm sure he is a great guy, but his resume is very lightweight. Not sure the experience as football coach and HS AD does anything for us.

LaRue is Mr. Popularity in Deaconland. If we want a guy who can make friends quickly and be an instant hit on the Yosef tour, LaRue might be a guy to consider--except that we have our own Mr. Popularity candidates. If we want a head basketball coach--we'd better get back to the list of head basketball prospects. LaRue is the third assistant at Wake; and when the role of second assistant was open last year, LaRue was not promoted. Randolph Childress leapfrogged him. There's a reason for that.MAD Doctor wrote:I'm sure he is a great guy, but his resume is very lightweight. Not sure the experience as football coach and HS AD does anything for us.
This almost smacks of someone shopping in the bargain basement again. Charlie's smarter than this--but he was last year, too. Until this gets fixed, and fixed right, I'm going to be on pins and needles.
Proud triple-degree App grad--Classes of '66, '70 and '81.
