Win #20 on the line in the opening round of the Basketball Classic tournament.

Upstate finished 14-16 on the season, 3rd in the big south. They got spanked my most of their bigger better opponents. App should be able to handle this team. Guard Bryson Mozone scored 24 ppg this season.

I know that some feel this game is underwhelming, but it's a great opportunity to get #20 and for our guys to keep playing.

We’re not above playing anyone right now. We had a good season, not a great one and we’re taking the stairs. We prove we really are above this team by beating them soundly and moving on.

No guarantees on this one. I watched two of their games at the Big South tourney. They had Big South Freshman of the year, who exploded towards the end of the season and some great bigs. And their coaches wife passed away the night before the tournament started. They were playing very inspirational basketball.

Any opportunity to watch the guys play is always a positive. Go get win #20 and prepare to host another game.

BTW, the tournament is up to 17 teams.

Up to 22 teams with the additions Kent State, Eastern Washington, Morgan State, Cornell.

Down to 21 teams as Wofford advances via opponent forfeit due to COVID

COVID's now has three straight years of postseason berths/wins.

Forfeiting is what will happen at the Big Dance too if team members come down with Covid.
