Our stock is rising. We have had a dose of adversity with key injuries to two starters each of which missed a game, yet here we are . Tied for second. Its been awhile. If you weren’t at the GSU game it’s hard to explain , it’s like we just “willed” it. We were a little tougher than they were and our was coaching superb. I guarantee those in attendance will be back. Now it’s time to welcome the Cajuns to Boone and top off the home stand. I’m hoping there’s no hangover and we pick up a solid win. Go Apps !

Looks like if they can afford beer at the Klondike, et. al. and a have meal card, they could afford a ticket and buy their own concessions. Just curious.

1. Klondike is closed.
2. There’s a significant number of students who can not afford beer at Klondike.
3. Meal card only pays for food in the cafeteria. It’s nice to get food from somewhere else occasionally.
4. This is the kind of thing that builds camaraderie and creates bonds between alumni and students.
5. It’s a nice thing to do.

I prefer the drinks at Char. Mountain House is a good hangover spot the following morning.

Klondike is closed??? Finally!!! Thank the good lord! That trashy eye sore right at the beautiful entrance to our University should have been closed and razed years ago. There are many, many nice places to have a beer or three. That wasn’t one.

Mountain House is gone too (thankfully). Never really ever had any form of a decent meal there.

There are other places to douse your hangover now - Waffle House, Troy’s Diner....

It was great for the Apps to get that Ga Sou monkey off their backs after a miserable, five-year, 1-7 streak. Next? Bob Marlin's Ragin' Cajuns landed at Tri-Cities earlier today and shortly will have done their walk-through routine at HCC. The Cajuns are 1-3 in Sun Belt play after taking a blow-out, 79-62 home win over Troy last night. In that game the Cajuns played lights-out, shooting 50% from the field and 45% from behind the arc. They have been terrible on the road this season; presently at a win-less 0-5. One wouldn't expect them to repeat last night's hot shooting performance at HCC tomorrow night. I'm sure DK has planned a defense to hopefully prevent a repeat. Nothing is guaranteed. UL will pose a definite threat and the ball can take strange bounces.

The Apps should be appsolutely stoked at the opportunity to finish a three-game home-stand with a 4-1 SBC record. Bob Marlin can't be looking forward to it. His team got blind-sided by the Apps in a 104-77 blow-out last season and the App student section rode him unmercifully the entire game. His nutty antics played right into their glee. Look for them to try to get under his skin early and often tomorrow evening.

I know it's gone, along with Char Bar. Was messing with NewApp since he was referring to Klondike. Waffle House? You mean Huddle House? Haha. I do enjoy breakfast at Troy's though. Very good food.

Not sure why our broadcast crew said we were tied for first. We are tied for second. Little Rock is 4-0. UL won their first game last night vs. Troy 79-62. My guess is they will provide a test. We are not a team built to really blow an opponent out. We simply are too inconsistent. Yesterday's game provides an clear example of that. We started really strong with a lot of defensive energy and smart offensive play. Then our fortunes changed and GS went on a 25-8 run and we looked nothing like we did at the start. We seemed rejuvenated coming out of the half and played much better though it took us a while but we climbed back in the game. The guys never quit, forced some bad GS shots, they missed some FTs and Justin hit the big winner.

It is a real credit to the players (playing somewhat shorthanded these last two games) and staff that we are sitting here with a chance to go to 4-1 and with some luck GS beats LR and we will then actually be tied for first. Its clear this team has a different mojo than any in most recent seasons.
