We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. Trivia Thursday is a new, short and sweet piece that we'll be doing to help break up the work week and get the blood flowing.  We're going to ask a question about Appalachian State history and see how many of our members know the answer.  The only prize is pride if you know the answer and we'll be working off the honor system.  Anyone can google the answer with enough time and let's be frank - no one likes the guy that ruins the fun by doing that every week.  We'll post the answer to the prior week with a new question each Thursday and we'll try to keep the trivia questions related to the season.

For our first installment:  Who currently holds Appalachian State Men's Basketball record for the most 3 pointers attempted in a single game?  Bonus points if you can name the opponent.

The answer may be a bit of a surprise if you've been around App basketball long enough to know a few of the players habits.

I am going to throw out the name Nathan Cranford.

DJ Thompson and Rufus Leach would be my back up guesses.

I don't know if that's the answer but I instantly think of Rufus whenever a 3-point shot is attempted or made. Love and miss you, Ruf! "THE RUF! THE RUF! THE RUF IS ON FIRE!!!!!"

I'm still in touch with D.J. He's playing ball in Europe. FANTASTIC PLAYER!!! A couple more names that come to mind are Tige Darner & Matt McMahon. Two more former App State stars!

I am going with Fitch.

He may not have had the 3 pt line the whole time, but if he was in the gym he was open.

Jerry's beaten me to it. Donnie Sims on the road at Mississippi State 2010! 20 Attempts! He scored a mere 40 that night. Wonder if he could drop by Elon tonite? :?:
