Assistant coaches Emily Roberts (UNC-W 2006) and Jessica Jackson (Western Carolina, 2010) will not return for 2017-18. Assistant Coach Kate Dempsey (Wofford, 2009) and Director of Operations Trevor Smith (App State, 2015) have apparently been retained. Assistant coach Sam Pierce has joined the staff after spending the last three seasons at Akron.

When I first glossed over the "recents" section and saw this thread title I thought it said Elderkin twerking her coaching staff. I'm sure she'd get a laugh from that, knowing her.

I'm glad you said it first because I saw the same thing.

Interesting choices on the ones she let go. I'm sure there's more to it. This is another high turnover of players team in addition to softball.

There have been some internal player issues, but I don't think this is related to the coaching staff as much as it is teammate dynamics.
