Played terrible against a bad team. We went completely away from our normal game. Also don't understand why we went away from the zone. Our best offensive runs came off of turnovers created by the zone.
When will "It's better than what we had" no longer be good enough for App State?

Bummer. We looked like a team that had spent a week in Georgia and then travelled to Texas.

3 big games coming up back in Boone. Great chance to catch our breath.

Still a great team and I think still in first place. I will take it. Great job guys. Keep up the hard work and welcome back to the warm embrace of a packed Holmes Center. (Hopefully)

Troy holds 1st place tie-breaker over us now. They are beating who they are supposed to beat.

Our longest divisional road trip followed by a short turnaround for our longest overall road trip wasn't very good planning by the league office. Still, no excuse to play THAT bad against a bad Tex. State team.

Troy has also had a very favorable schedule so far. Missed JMU completely and got us and Marshall at home. They played the Ga schools on the road but that's an easy trip for them.

On the bright side we get a chance to beat Toledo again, just in a different sport

This was the one that concerned me. They are playing their best ball of the season and we were a bit off . A step slow at times and left a few on the rim. Winning streaks are made to be snapped by hungry underdogs. On the road that’s all it takes, especially on the road.

Texas State played active defense, but our half court offense and shot selection was really bad tonight. We only scored 35 points out of our half court set and 26 points in the paint. If we would have taken the ball to the rim and pounded the ball inside, we would have won this game. We seemed scared to put the ball up inside and looked for the pass out which resulted in a worse shot or a turnover.

We weren't going to run the table, but they let us hang around in this one.

It's a 3 hour flight from Charlotte or Hickory to Austin and a 40 minute bus ride (assuming we flew commercial). Hawaii flies longer for every road game and The Atlantic-Pacific Coast Conference will appreciate short flights like this next year....

Texas St D gave us a little space to keep us in front of them. Made dribble penetration more difficult. Matched up well guard in guard when we did penetrate the lane
Have we really been "an inside out type of offense" all year. Not what I have been seeing. Seemed like we tried to run the same offense we have been running all year and Texas St played decent D.

A bad loss to a bad team. Have to win the tournament now; probably always did, but we can stop talking about an at-large bid for sure now. Get rested, right the ship and run the table.

As good as we’ve done this year we’ve had some horrendous losses.Makes me wonder about who we’re playing?

Never want to lose, but come on y’all. We were never getting an at-large NCAA invite. We just need to secure a top 4 seed to make a tourney championship less grueling. The goal is to win the conference tournament anyway.
WE ARE YOSEF!
