Good question. Another good question is why did he ride the pine for the duration of the N.Greenville game? Not certain he ever took his warm-up gear off. He was a "DNP!"BurlingtonApp wrote: Kobani was the only one who was somewhat effective in the post for us (Why isn't he starting?)
BTW, for the last two games I've harped about Capel's new three guard attack strategy. In both games, he started Burgess, Eaves and Hamilton at the guard slots; and in both games they shot an astounding 16 percent from the floor. Today, Neal replaced Hamilton in the guard trio and the shooting proficiency improved to a *staggering* 28 percent. From three point land, those three guys shot 1 for 15; or a laughable 6.6 percent.
We simply aren't going to beat any DI team on our schedule with stats like that. Looking ahead to the next two contests--on the road to Winthrop and to Presbyterian--I see two more losses. I had a faint hope about a win at Presby until they absolutely hammered UNC-G in the Greensboro Coliseum. I see almost no possibility for another win until Milligan and Bluefield come to HCC.
One more thought and then I'm done for the day with my basketball sarcasm. Darcy's women have five more roadies before they play at home again. Now standing at 1-7 on the season, look for them to be 1-12 after their swing through Radford, Ohio State, UNC-W, Furman and Wofford. Darcie has two solid DI players in Maryah Sydnor and KeKe Cooper; and very little in the way of scoring and rebounding beyond those two.
The only simple thought I can muster regarding both teams is just--Ouch!
