Apps win game three and take the series two games to one, shot fired back.

:?: Wofford won game 1. We won the next 2. Read all about it in the baseball folder. Curious to know more about the parting shot from the SoCon though.

Is this the stuff we're going to have to deal with every time App loses a game in the SoCon, or when we move to the Sun Belt?

Apparently so, the west carolina fans are making a big deal of beating us in golf last week on their board. Somehow that "cancer" has made it's way to our board. Go figure.

Fitting. They win in the sport where lowest score wins.

Well since I made that joke on AGS last week about the same game, reuse seems to be acceptable.

I'll take your word for it. I don't waste much time over there as they prove daily that misery loves company. How many "which schools should made to be FCS" does one need in his life?

There are worse people from which to steal quips than Hunter S. Thompson.

We probably deserve it. We have been awfully critical of the SOCON so why should they not rub our noses in it. This is the very reason I have wondered why we could not have taken the high road. Why can't we say that the SOCON has been just as good for us as we them, but it is just time to move on? We would be doing the same thing they are and probably worse. This is exactly what all that JV nonsense gets you. We have degraded them so badly that we really do deserve all they can give us. On the other hand we could just wine about it like another NC school that we all love.

You're right about the insults thrown at the SoCon. We were a proud member of that conference for decades, and sound like asses when we act like we're too good now.

Also really like the idea of wining about it....I really like a good Napa Cab.

That is what the administration has said. Message board tough guys don't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

I've been trying to figure out why this was posted in the Appalachian Football folder? Why not in the baseball folder since there is absolutely nothing in the linked article about football. Even if there was something in the article regarding payback for leaving the SoCon shouldn't it have been placed in the FBS discussion folder?
