Tailgating at The Rock!

With kickoff being at 3:30pm what time do the tailgate sites open?

I haven't been to Boone in a while. Any suggestions on possible lots where I could tailgate? Thanks!!

The Watauga County Health Department is one option. It's free. There are also smaller individual lots downtown that usually charge around $20.

I thought we couldn't start until 3.5 hours before the game?

Not supposed to drink alcohol until 3.5 hours before kickoff. However, most pay lots open around 8 with drinks a flowing!!

Watauga County Human Services lot. Best kept secret for free parking in App land.

Just put your favorite beverage of choice in a non descript cup. Heck those Chinet "Comfort Cup" (wonderfully named) for coffee work wonders... "Wow lot's of people drinking coffee at this game... "...
