Re: 2016 Yosef Seating Stadium Layout
I wonder what real impact it will have if season tickets aren't sold for all Yosef sections. For example, I sit in 204, Row GGG (old gold seat section). That section has not been sold out since the club level and suites went in; however, single game tickets are sold for that section for nearly every game. This could be interesting ...

Daphne, How do I go about requesting to continue parking where they have previously parked even if I have upped my giving level that would allow me to park elsewhere?

That's a good question. Leigh Morrow has left App for GaState, so I'm not sure to whom you'd address that request. You might try starting with Natalie Harkey.appbud wrote:Daphne, How do I go about requesting to continue parking where they have previously parked even if I have upped my giving level that would allow me to park elsewhere?
I'll try and keep all these questions in mind for when we have our Yosef Advisory Board retreat the first weekend of February.

So we have sat in Section 202 with season tickets for 8 years. Is this saying that if we don't contribute at $250 to the Yosef Club that we will now be asked to move?

I believe so. Looks like all non Yosef club seats will be in the east stands.

I may be wrong but if Yosef Club members don't purchase all seats then they are sold to non club members. At least I think I remember seeing that in the past.

Single game tickets, maybe. I highly doubt they have sold season tickets in those sections without a contribution.appbud wrote:I may be wrong but if Yosef Club members don't purchase all seats then they are sold to non club members. At least I think I remember seeing that in the past.

I've had season tickets in 205 for seven years. Based on the chart, I won't be there this year. Last year, however, that section was never more than 80% filled for any game and most of the seats around us were occupied by people who bought single game tickets in that section. It will definitely be interesting.

Re: 2016 Yosef Seating Stadium Layout
This is the case in my section (212) also. I'm not afraid to say it bugs me a bit that folks can walk up to the box office right before the game and get a seat in my section. Better to sell the ticket than not sure, but I think this year's changes are only going to exacerbate this issue.appst89 wrote: ...

Re: 2016 Yosef Seating Stadium Layout
I'm wondering if there will be allowances made for long term season ticket holders / Yosef donors. The best thing any of us can do when responding to the athletics department is to remain logical and rational (not easy when passion and dollars are on the line). I know if I'd given $100 for 20 years, I would feel as entitled to sit in Section 202 as someone who gave $250 for the first time this year. If all goes well, I'll be in the same seats I've been in for the last 7 years. This is going to be interesting to watch unfold.

Re: 2016 Yosef Seating Stadium Layout
We have purchased 1/2 season for years (4 seats). And donated at the 500 level for years. The reason for 1/2 is we just can't make all home games although we would like to. (Guess I get my chance now) But now no more half season tickets. So now I'll have to either opt for single game and crap shoot parking or reduce my season tickets as I can't see paying for seats I won't use. (Try to sell them?) Or reduce Yosef contribution amount to offset ticket amount. Growing pains or attempt to raise revenue or both.

Daphne, one more question. In the past, every Yosef member at the $250 level was guaranteed a parking spot (Festival Parking). Will that remain the same? If so, do they have enough parking spots for everyone?? Not panicking by any means. Just asking!! Thanks!!

Re: 2016 Yosef Seating Stadium Layout
Here's my suggestion (& I think some are already the case):
1) Use people's Lifetime points, but in order to keep these points "active" you must make a minimum annual donation of $100.
2) On-campus parking spaces are assigned based on "active" lifetime points.
3) People can upgrade their seats or keep their seats by donating the minimum amount for the section. They can choose to "roll the dice" and hope not enough new people move into their section, donate less than the required amount, and once the new seats are allocated App could fill in the holes with these lower level donors.
4) Season tickets without making a qualifying donation to the Yosef Club is hard to justify...it's $8 a month!

Re: 2016 Yosef Seating Stadium Layout
I'll know for sure after the YCAB retreat February 5th. My gut sense is that we've been running close to having more at the $250 level than we have festival parking spots, but that's just from being part of ticket packing.wilsonappman wrote:Daphne, one more question. This may have been mentioned throughout the discussion however can someone breakdown the amounts needed to give for each parking lot location (stadium, peacock, parking decks, greenwood, etc.) independent of years donated?

Re: 2016 Yosef Seating Stadium Layout
Just got the email about season tickets and have a question someone more knowledgeable than me probably can answer.
"Season tickets for the six-game slate at Kidd Brewer Stadium in 2016 cost just $200 for adults — an increase of just $13 ($2.17 per game) over last year — and $165 for current Appalachian faculty/staff, senior citizens (ages 60+ — two per account) and youth (ages 3-12). Season tickets cost $370 in the Gold VIP section and $280 in the East VIP section. "
I sit in 206. Does that equate to the "Gold VIP section"? If so, that's a big jump in season ticket costs. Not complaining... just curious.
