Outstanding achievement for a 2nd year FBS program...

How many FBS programs are there now- 128? If my math is correct we are just outside the top 25 percentile. Based on the returning squad for next season I would expect to see us in the votes section for the preseason top 25 next year. Can't wait.

Here's the link: http://collegefootball.ap.org/poll, but I don't see the "others receiving votes" section this time.

Where can you see that?

We finished 60 in Sagarin ratings, Stink was 61. We were the two highest ranked Sun Belt teams.

How did we do versus C-USA?

Western Kentucky finished at 35. We were ahead of all other CUSA teams - next-highest were Marshall (66), La. Tech (68) and Southern Miss (70).

we're among some pretty good company...sandwiched between Southern Cal and Boise St. I'll take it.

I don't know. As much as I hate to admit it, UNC-Cheat had a pretty good year this year.

UT at #11 for next year, The U at #13. We should move to top 10 after wins over them and ODU to begin the year!

Honestly both of those teams probably only got votes because of their names. If their jerseys said Oregon State and Colorado State with the same results, I doubt either gets any votes.

Also don't really understand San Diego State getting so many more votes than us. Some of that is probably due to the margin of their bowl win, but I think a lot is just people giving the Mountain West extra credit for past years.

Coaches' poll is out now too. We got nine votes, good for 34th place:

We're actually behind Marshall in this one, which just goes to show how little some of these SIDs - whoops, I mean, "coaches" - know about other teams around the country.

Agree, they had a pretty good year and beating them would be a tall order. However, our record is better, we won our bowl game, and we finished higher in the rankings. Not too shabby!
