Oline and QB are real problems

I will say wide receiver is a question also.

I question how this team/coaches respond to games like this 0-3.

Lamb is so overrated. Sorry to offend some and I don't care about his efficiency stats, the dude folds with a little pressure and can't handle big games.

His success is system driven off a strong run game and tough D

He is Trent Dilfer.

WRs are injured. Lamb just isn't good without a run game. His arm strength isn't very good either. He may be the best we have for now so we will just have to ride or die with Lamb.

I agree he is a system player.
We need a lot more depth on oline and receivers. Injuries have killed us in both spots.

His run toward the end may have won the game as he put Matics in short FG range.

Great game. One of the best games I've ever seen live. I'll eat a little crow but I still stand behind my comments though. The running game picked up and Marcus won the MVP. Lamb was clutch in the end. Gotta give him that.

Lamb led us to an eleven and two season and people still diss him. And he's only what, a Junior?

I'll take Lamb. I would like to see him improve under pressure and work on speeding up the release. O line has improved. Changes in defensive schemes seem to throw us for a loop though. Their D line beat up our O line for the middle two quarters and we didn't adjust well. We are not perfect but we have improved a lot. We did win 11 games including our bowl, not sure what more one cold ask for.

Red shirt junior though most announcers state he is a true sophomore just like last year they stated he was a true freshman when he was a RS sophomore last year.

Lamb is a redshirt sophomore this year. Still has 2 more seasons of eligiblility. Academically, he is in his Junior year.

You did a better job getting that into words than I did.

Redshirt SOPHOMORE. (http://www.appstatesports.com/ViewArtic ... M_ID=21500) He has two years left. Everyone's favorite player always seems to be the backup quarterback, very cliche. 11-2, best record ever in the SunBelt, 1st first-year FBS team to win a bowl game. I'm sorry, I played through College (App) and have coached for more than 15 years. I'll take him ... but you guys are the experts, so I won't argue the point.

So he'll have to go to graduate school to play his last year, correct?

Who could bitch after this season and that game? 11 and 2 with one of the two losses being an FBS playoff team. We won tonight with 4 starters on the sideline. That says a lot about the team as a whole. In our 2nd year in the FBS we had a top 25 offense and we need a new QB, O-line and receivers, really? If Lamb, our O-line guys or our receiving core are reading this, THANKS FOR A GREAT SEASON!!!!!!

Lamb is the definition of a game manager. He is not going to dictate games with his play, but he can win when our system is working. Kudos to him for overcoming the beating his O line was causing him to get. I caused a big stir on here earlier this season when I questioned him and while my view has not changed, I trust Satterfield to put the best players out there.
App State has arrived, 1 year of elegible Bowl status, 1 bid, 1 win. Go App.

if you all notice those are the 3 areas we are recruiting because of a lack of depth.
We have had many injuries to those areas except QB and i wonder if we have depth there also.

I started this thread during the game because they were areas showing problems.

Congrats to the team that never gave up but those areas are of obvious recruiting importance.
