Ole Miss, Memphis, Michigan State, TCU, Marshall all had a lousy week it would seem.

Crazy weekend. Good perspective for next time you read a post where someone claims losing to A-State somehow means we can't match up athletically at this level.

Injuries, getting teams on an upswing, talent showing off and the emphasis on the regular season more than any other sport, pro or college. Having a target at FBS is hard.

We were beat by a better team. Why is that such a hard thing to say. It does not mean we are horrible. It does not mean we need to jump off tall buildings. For all practical purposes we are in our first full year of FBS and not even in our first year of a team that is full FBS recruited. As I see it there is only one place that we really suck at and that is discipline. Everywhere else we are far ahead of where you would expect a team to be at this point.

A better team???? You're out of your mind. I was at the game and at no time did I see a better team on the field. I saw a team that was fresh and a team that was tired. They caught us at the right time, that is all.

If the roles had been reversed, we would certainly claim that that was proof that we were the better team. The game wasn't as close as the final score indicated. If we played them again, we certainly are good enough to beat them. But last Thursday, the better team won the game.

The fresher team won the game. At no position are they better. If you guys want to play semantics to make yourself feel better then go right ahead, but don't put down the team by saying Arky St was better.

And Bama made LSU look like a JV squad. At least one memeber of the family is happy, UF won a squeaker over Vandy

I am not sure who is out of their mind here. I was at the game also. When the game was over all you had to do was look up at the scoreboard if you had not been watching the game as most of us were. It is funny to me how people claim that the team that lost is the better team. Saying that the team that lost is better, is a guess. The team that has the least points lost is a fact. If this and if that just means nothing. The only thing that really matters is what happens on the field. We have nothing to be ashamed of. We have built a great program to this point but we are not going to win every game. Accept it and move on.
We have done a fantastic job. We need no excuses. We were beat by a better team.

All that matters is what we do in our next 3 games. We have a struggling Idaho next week, a bye, then a tough ULL, and a tough South Alabama. We still have a few tests ahead of us.

Our season IS NOT ruined. We still have work to do. We are now playing for our bowl lives. Keep winning and a good one is ahead of us.

Its not ruined because in the end we ARE the best team in the Sunbelt, handsdown. We will go to a bowl and win it.

Lafayette is not that tough. They are only 4-4 and struggled to beat Ga State by 2 yesterday.

Yeah and we struggled to beat Troy with a worse record. My point is that no win is a given. Every game has to be taken seriously. Respect your opponents' strengths.

We might be the best team when we are at full strength. Unfortunately, we will never know that. We were quite obviously not the better team Thursday night. We are hurt and our offense is a shell of what it was because of it. We are still a good team and can still have a special season, but we have to realize that we still don't have the FBS depth we need to overcome the injuries we have sustained this season. I hope the coaches can piece together something that will allow us to rebound from this and get back on track.

...and stAte struggled with Ga State last week. How did that turn out? Troy had just 2 wins coming into Boone and nearly pulled off the W. ga state has steadily improved over the course of the season. They are one or two mistakes away from having a 2 or 3 more W's.

With our injuries mounting, we do not have an "easy" game left. Gonna take a lot of focus, detemination and guys 2 and 3 deep on the depth chart stepping up for us to win 2 games, much less run the table. USA worries me. Big, physical and destroyed us in Boone last year.

... and that struggling Idaho team lost to stAte by a measly 3 pts. No easy games.

I for one, am concerned about Idaho. If we get out there with win, I will be happy because we will have two weeks for healing up for the last two games which are gonna be tough. Then good rest before going bowling.

But Idaho is a better scoring offense than they were last year. We better fix whatever has been going on with the defense the last two weeks, or next Saturday will not be fun.

I think we can move the ball on them even if the OL is still banged up.

We are never better than a team that beats us. We are always better than a team we beat. If you think otherwise then you did not get this SAT question correct ....or you need counseling.
