Let's take a look back

First I'd like to say. I'm very proud of this team and they have busted their tails all season and I'm very excited about the direction of this program.

Let's look at the first half of this game.

We came out and pretty much owned the game.. Offense was moving at will and the defense was shutting them down.. The game should of been 21-3 at half but Turnovers gave them 14 points and shoulda woulda coulda that 14 points could of been us winning 27-26.. We kept them in the game and let's be real if we had them down 21-3 at half I don't see them coming back that would of broke them I mean they may still have had that 3rd quarter outburst but I don't see it.. Injuries man losing Chapman really made a difference the offense just wasn't the same after he left.. The snaps was at Lamb's ankles all night 90% of them was low and messed up the flow and the hand offs and his progression in his reads just really messed things up..

Second Half

Our defense came out flat and just look wore out.. I give Arkansas State credit they came out really pumped up and made the right changes and just played like they have been there before and just wore us out.. I think if we didn't lose Chapman in the first half that would of made a worlds difference and I understand injuries happen and it's next man up but if he stays in our offense gets more chances to score and move the ball and give our defense a chance to adjust and rest but that didn't happen..

Overall

I'm very proud of this team and I hope these extra days off we can heal up and get ready for a key run.. I'd love for this team to finish out 10-2 and win our bowl game.. Still a long way to go but I am very excited about our future.. Man once we get the depth we will be a force for years to come now

Let's cheer on our boys and give our all for Appalachian!!!
