We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Billboard
Just saw a really cool video billboard advertising the
upcoming game Saturday. It only identified our
opponent, however, by using their logo. Nowhere on the
board did it say we were playing Wyoming. Would have
been good to use the Wyoming name to help generate
interest. How many people looking at that billboard
would know which school a cowboy swinging a lasso
on a bull (or horse) would identify. I'm sure a lot
of people are like who are they playing? Oh well, it
was good to see it anyway. Thoughts?

Re: Billboard
Riding a "bull"?????? Come on Appfanjj?!?!
That cowboy (with hat, not lasso in hand) is riding Pro Rodeo Hall of fame bucking horse, "Steamboat", one of the finest bucking horses of all time. Steamboat was raised on the Tyrrell Ranch, just outside of Chugwater, Wyoming.
The bucking horse and rider was copyrighted by the State of Wyoming in 1936 and has not only represented the University of Wyoming, but was legally adopted by the US Army during WWI and has represented Wyoming troops ever since.
A bull? Sheesh! You must have been driving pretty fast when you went by the billboard!
GIVE EM HELL WYO!

Re: Billboard
Thanks for the interesting info. I love that logo
myself. Easily recognized by those who follow
college sports or those who have been to the
beautiful state of Wyoming. I have been twice and
it is an amazing place. Thought it should have read
App State vs. Wyoming instead of just using the
logos. Not sure too many casual passersby would
immediately recognize it as Wyoming. Best of luck
Saturday. Are you coming?

Re: Billboard
Went back and looked at the billboard again. The ads were rotating since it is digital. Also advertised were App volleyball, women's soccer, and field hockey games upcoming at home. All of these clearly named the opposing school. Very nice ads. Glad to see it.
