Swepson sees the necessity of getting a win, and getting the black and gold monkey off Elon’s back.
“Obviously, we’d love to go into the bye week 3-3 instead of 2-4,” he said. “We’ve got our demons against App State, so we’re going to go face them, look them right in the eye. We’re going to go out and play physical football on Saturday, I can guarantee you that.”
Will dirty be included this year?

Elon Linebacker...
Always. In the back of our mind, always,” Thompson said when asked if that loss lingers. “We went up early. We were excited about it and then they chipped away. It lingers in everyone’s mind constantly. We’re ready to come out and prove to them that we’re better than them and we’re going to beat them this weekend.”
Someone please send this to the ASU football team.
The funny thing is that Wofford College continues to curb stomp them year after year, but its ASU they want to emulate...Elon may win a football game against ASU one day, but they will never have what we have in Boone, NC on a fall Saturday afternoon...

“Losing today, obviously nobody’s happy with it,” Elon junior defensive lineman Tony Thompson said Saturday. “Coming out this week, we know we can play App State close. We have every year.”

what is it with Elon providing the team with bulletin board materal? Every year one or two of their players says something stupid to fire up our team, don't get me wrong, as an App fan, I greatly appreciate them giving extra motivation to the team, but, man, thats dumb. Keep talking dumbasses, keep talking.

This is the same mouthy non sense that had AE and crew tee off on them in 2009. AE even said it, they were playing cards and saw on TV where one of thier dellusional players said they were the face of the SoCon in 2009.
Either way they are jealous of what ASU has. They let Wofford beat them silly and then talk about how they are going to come to Boone and beat ASU.

It's obvious to me that Wofford didn't beat Elon last week, we did. The players had their minds in Boone already. They better prepare for another beating this week, because that's all they'll get.

I think part of their obsession with beating App is that even when we play at Elon, its a home game atmosphere for us. I can walk to those games from my parents' house and I've been amazed by the amount of Black and Gold there each time. That has to be hard to swallow.

Funny how the article blames unsportsmanlike conduct penalties for the loss last year. Those are easy to eliminate. Also hard to believe the players would admit minutes after getting butt-kicked by Wofford that they were already thinking about the App game.
Time to send them home shaking their heads again.

That's almost as dumb as the Michigan players admitting they were stoned!

something to worry about for this game is Elon trying to hurt Jackson. Almost every year they try and pull some stunt to try and get our best players out of the game. Elon knows we are basically down to one QB., get him out of the game, and it would greatly improve their chances for the upset. at the very least Moore should remind the refs , that Elon has a history of "cheap shots" and they should be looking out for them.

As soon as we get up by 17, I'd sit Jamal. Dead serious. They WILL attack his knees and ankles.
