Hope those of you making the trip down to Death Valley have a great time. Two schools with great pride and tradition should make for some great tailgating and football! Having grown up vacationing in Blowing Rock I have always claimed to be a closet App State fan. However, Saturday I hope my Tigers score 1 more point than the Mountaineers

. Go Tigers!

Thanks for the warm welcome to the great Death Valley DVT! I'm excited to be experiencing college football in another great venue. Heres to a great game with no injuries and a solid performance by the Black & Gold!!!

We are looking forward to being there this weekend! Can't wait, been watching college football since I was 5 years old, so like 40 something years and never been to Death Valley.

Death Valley is a great venue, first class all the way, your really going to enjoy watching a game there. Only real negative is finding a parking spot.

Hey Death Valley Tiger, you got any suggestions on where a group of college aged males should be going to on Friday night?

Should we drive to a tailgating spot from our hotel or just Uber it when we get there (around 8 a.m.)?

Hey BurlingtonApp, as a Clemson student, I'll say that we don't have a huge downtown scene, but there are options. Td's is always fun, but it can attract kind of an underage crowd. 356 is fun if you're looking for more modern music and dancing. Loose change is a smaller bar that attracts the junior/senior crowd and plays more classics. Triple t's attracts an older alumni crowd and is the biggest bar that we have. It being the night before gameday, you will probably have to wait in line wherever you go; just depends on your preference.

One of my favorite road games was the one down to death valley in 1984 and got to see John Settle run very well against a defense led by William "the refrigerator" Perry. My friend and I were treated great by the fans and we had a blast! Another thing I remember was how freaking hot it was! The only other game I can remember that hot was the last ECU game in Greenville.

Hope its cooler than when I went to the game in '97. Can't make it this year, but I still have nightmares of grape vodka way too early in the morning down there.

To the guy looking where to go on Friday night. All of downtown is fun, but tiger town tavern and the newly renovated backstreets are the places to go. TDs is always too crowded to move. On gameday stop by esso club for a beer and some fried pickles.
You'll love the hospitality of everyone.

Had a great time there in the 80's (84?) and saw a pretty good game. I love forward to my crew of ATL Apps coming back to Death Valley. See everyone there!
