He had a typo in the article last week about playing Howard. He had Hampton. I emailed him and besides mentioning this I told him how much I appreciated the App coverage and was so glad to see it continue with the WSJ and wished it could happen in Greensboro.

His reply back started with "Damnit...." in realizing the mistake had not been fixed by the time I had emailed him. I appreciated the tone of the email and him being a bit jovial in the mistake, but also wanting to get things correct. He seems like he will do a great job covering App.

I wonder if WSJ got a lot of emails about Tommy and they realized how important App was to their circulation numbers or at least on-line clicks. Now that I am working in the central part of the city and county I need to locate a box where I can pick up a copy. They used to have a search for that very thing on their website.

What really stands out to me about Brant's articles are the depth and quality of his articles. It is obvious he spends considerable time researching and that translates into a much better and more in-depth article. I very much liked Tommy but Brant's work has stepped up our coverage in a big way. I live in Atlanta and see this type of coverage for UGA from some of the local writers. I have never seen this level for App prior to Brant.

I look forward to ready much more from him in the future.

Great article! The parallels are interesting and ones I've thought of often lately. Saturday's game can't get here soon enough!
