This is interesting...this man goes all out. Being a puny little tennis coach, if I did this, that plywood would've bounced me back 10ft.

Last season, Sirignano thought that outsiders were too concerned with App State’s previous accomplishments, rather than the present. So, he sent out an intern to get a piece of plywood and put pictures of the past on it:
“We talked about our legacy and how you’re going to be remembered. Everyone around here was talking about that quarterback and the three national championships and yada-yada and all the NFL guys.
But we’re sitting in our locker room with our guys, and no one was talking about them, so I told them, ‘Hey listen, I ask for you guys — and these coaches ask for you guys — to run through a wall every day, and I don’t think we’re giving enough back to you.’
Next thing I know, ‘I want you to know, I’m all in, so I’ll do (anything) for you guys,’ so I turn around, and I run through the sheet of plywood. It wasn’t little plywood, either — like ¾ inch — I had a four-inch gash in my head, there’s blood going everywhere, there’s people erupting, there’s fights breaking out in the locker room, it was fun.

I remember after the Samford game in 2013 I called in and asked Brownie about what I felt was a lacking S&C program and he echoed the same sentiments and talked about how our players were being pushed off the line by freaking Samford. He got a fair bit of blowback from that with people defending the current program.

Coach Sirignano is the best hire we have made recently. Our team always had the skill set to compete..., now coach iron mike is showing them the way through his accountability and continuous drive for team excellent. The team trusts in his abilities to lead and are all in. He has brought the SEC to the belt... Look out Clemson and Sunbelt we are coming for you with all we got! #ringchasers

In 2013 i remember being told second hand that the Citadel coaches said our team that year was the weakest App team they had ever seen. That was the final straw for me. So glad we have someone like Mike leading the S&C program now. No way we win 7 games last year without him.
