All:
I just got an email from some Montana fans we met in Boone a few weeks ago. Thought I'd share a part.
"Thank you once again for “being the face and voice of the App State fans”. At the tailgate of 9/15 we talked to one the members of our own tailgate party who was also in Boone. He’s 60-ish and said that he’s done some really fine things in his lifetime. His experience in Boone was now in his top 3. He was still smiling about those special memories when we saw him on 9/22. Please keep in touch."
Too cool. BTW, the Griz lost to UNA at home last week.

Re: Montana fans
That's great. I'm just glad everyone now knows what I've been saying since going to Montana in 2009. They have the BEST fans in the country. Mad respect for them.

Re: Montana fans
Big +1 on that. Some of the best opposing fans I've even seen. Truly wish we were closer so we could play them every year. No doubt the two best game day atmospheres in all FCS.AppState89 wrote:That's great. I'm just glad everyone now knows what I've been saying since going to Montana in 2009. Re: Montana fans
Even after the game Montana fans seemed to not mind losing as much as you would think. One said that it would be different if it was any other team than App State. Kinda made me feel good because I felt the same way before the game.

I felt the same way. Even when I was at the game in 2009. It is strange I felt that way, but I would have been fine if we lost to Montana. Don't get me wrong, I wanted to win BAD.GoApps70 wrote:Even after the game Montana fans seemed to not mind losing as much as you would think. Re: Montana fans
I was at the Montana game traveling all the way from the Miami area to watch my beloved MOUNTAINEERS!!! I spoke to several Montana fans that were staying at our hotel and they were great to talk to. They showed great sportsmanship, loyalty to their GRIZ and demonstrated a lot of class even though they lost. There is only one other fan base that exemplifies these qualities and they are from APP STATE!!!
I also wish that Montana was closer so we could play them every year, but then again, I also wish that Boone was closer so I wouldn't have to travel 850 miles to see a game. GO APPS!!!
