After digesting the El Cid game and giving myself terminal indigestion, I took it upon myself to look within and see if things other than young, raw defensive players and a superb opponent's game plan was to blame. Alas I found part of the problem.
Every year, first home game, I break out the Black and Old Godl heirloom #78 1970 vintage jersey and wear it. This year I wore my Nike Appalachian State Football golf shirt. Our boys defeated Montana but in retrospect I think that may have been a teaser. I now believe that my case of CRS and not wearing the jersey broke my MoJo. The jersey is/was undefeated in home openers.
To that end I will try to make amends and #78 will be in attendance at the Coastal game in hopes that my MoJo will return and the Apps will be looking to extend their win streak to 2 after soundly beating the Choo Choo Mocs.
I throw myself on the mercy of the Ghosts of Mountaineer Message Board Past and Yosef's Cabin in the present.

I too hurt us. Had blisters from the Montana game, so left my App Chuck Taylors at home, never again.

I missed the first quarter due to professional obligations and my buddies didn't bring out flag in. That HAS to be it.

I too share in the blame, I wore a new hat for the Montana Game and asked my fellow tailgaters if i should wear it again or put on another new hat...I choose the ecomomic route and re-used the Montana hat...My bad, I apologize to App Nation.

Re: The MoJo was broken; my bad.....
I can't appear to find the right mojo. My shirt I wore to the Michigan game, my trusty #55 jersey, and my new App coaches shirt (identical to Scatman's) have all let me down in recent years. Gotta figure out something...I do have a new Appalachian Cycling cap/hat I bought at the bookstore that hasn't seen game action yet....maybe I'll try that in Chatty and try and remember which shirt I wore to the 2010 Chatty game with the great Dre comeback.
Everyone that can get up to Chatty and make some noise and create some new mojo!

Haven't we started off 1-2 three of the last five years?
Do our coaches get any ideas until we become desperate?
Can they not evaluate fairly?

We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.
