Is it too late to get Lenoir Rhyne on the schedule? Then again that might not end well for us.

Wrong, the worst thing about this loss is that we can't do anything about it. We lost the game and that'll be there in the record books.

I don't really think that it has anything to do with Liberty. Yes we lost to an FCS team. Its how we lost. Our D getting Trucked all night and no one changing a thing. Try something, anything.
It that our special Teams are terrible, we do not have a FG kicker. Anyone on the Soccer team, men's or womens? It's that we are getting worse week to week. Shouldn't we be getting better?

A ton of high school kickers are also soccer players. They go to both practices and no soccer games are on friday nights so it works out. Many college and NFL kickers were former soccer players.

I do not agree with #1. 3 years from now, YES 100%. With the exception of a few players, we are still a FCS team.

that is true, but if they were any good at it, they would be kicking in college instead of playing soccer. the ones who are good at it, end up dropping soccer to focus on football rather than do both

Didn't we steal Sam Martin from a soccer scholly at ga state? Pretty sure he was about to go there on a soccer scholarship before we convinced him to come to app. Although he isn't a place kicker, I think he shows you can successfully cross over.

I believe he played both in high school. No doubt many kickers today got their start playing soccer. However, its not like you can just go from playing soccer to being a college kicker overnight. It is not ideal to one guy take on all the kicking responsibilities, but I think Critcher will do fine as the PK. He certainly has the leg strength and I doubt anyone absconded from the soccer team at this point will be any more accurate.

Here's the top 4 reasons why I'm still upset:

1. Our Defense for 1.5 years is terrible.
2. Our Defense for 1.5 years is terrible.
3. Our Defense for 1.5 years is terrible.
4. We make dumb mistakes.

You can't be marginal and dumb.

Regarding looking for a kicker from the soccer team........Why would any 18-22 year old soccer player subject himself to the expectations, judgment, criticism and abuse from places like this message board??

I suppose, perhaps, one would take such a novel approach in order to "give his all for Appalachian State".
