This time I scratched my head bald(er) trying to find the proverbial silver linings for this game. All I could come up with was ESPN3. We seem to have more ESPN3 games this year. Negative is, so are some of the FCS SoCon teams.
The announcers are actually better than we have experienced with the higher level broadcasts in the past. (1) They didn't dwell on the negatives for either side. (2) They stuck to the game itself rather than talking about which other teams had coaches who were going to be fired and speculating who was going to take their places (3) Didn't constantly talk about higher level programs all day. (4) The camera work didn't focus in constantly on tight shots of individual players. You got a chance to observe the formations for much longer before the snap and could see much more of the field at a time. (5) Less drama. (6) Their play by play was better and just as knowledgeable as the major coverages. (7) They didn't avoid showing the sections of the stands which weren't filled rather than tight shots made to look like the stadium was packed when it wasn't. It was more like what you see in person.

Last but not least was we proved we could score big against somebody other than Campbell. Furthermore Libety actually gives athletic scholarships. ;)
