If you are headed TN way this weekend, overall the weather looks good.

Partly cloudy skies with a game time kickoff temp (6pm) in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Small chance for a shower.

End of game temps will likely land in the upper 60s.

Tailgating looks good for the afternoon.

------------

Just feel a need to share the following...

I grew up the son of a football coach. My dad had great successes and a few big failures with teams during his career. What happened Saturday for our Mountaineers was painful to witness. It is, however, football and this is what happens on the gridiron each and every Saturday across this great nation.

Great programs stumble, tumble and fall, and get their butts whipped at some point in their history. I can tell you that we shall right the ship, rise from the ashes and regain our footing. This I know, this I have seen, lived.... and this it shall be.

- We are APP STATE!

We are a monumentally blessed football program. Our history is long, strong and clear; you can't deny that. From our coaches, to our players, to our school, to our game day experience, and the best damn fan base in the land, WE ARE WHAT OTHERS STRIVE TO ACHIEVE! The tools are there, the will survives, and we won't go quietly into that football goodnight. Why?

- We are APP STATE!

So when you see a player, run across a coach and mingle with your fellow ASU students or alumni across the state, nation and world, you puff up your chest, let your eye tear up with pride and proudly say,

- "I AM and WE ARE APP STATE!"

Hold that, know that, live that and be that. Our team, our coaches and our school deserve nothing more than full-throated support, dedication and pride. We will rebound, we will lead, we will conquer again.

Why?

After a disappointing outcome, for some, negativity comes easy. Finger pointing comes easy. The blame game comes easy. I'd like to think those kind of people are a small-but-unfortunately-vocal minority at Appalachian State.

Thank you, Jeff. You eloquently expressed the feelings of what I believe to be the majority of App fans.
