Easily fixed

Unread post by MJ1988 » Sat Sep 27, 2014 9:58 pm

So, all year last year and so far this year I see a lot of folks explaining our problems away. Young team, poor talent from the Moore years, playing for the future and easily fixed mistakes seem to be the most popular explanations for our lack of productivity on the field. I want to ask about "easily fixed". If so many of our issues are "easily fixed" then why haven't they been fixed?

The problems are easily fixed in terms of what needs to be done. Easily is not synonymous with instantly.

I think our problems are easy to diagnose. They are not easy to fix. Coaching is another reason for it. Our coaches have not managed games well at times. I'm hoping that improves.

The youth and some of the others are going to gradually fix themselves or at least get better over the next year from now. That's why Scott, some on here, and myself are thinking 2015 is the year we make a big stride. There is no excuse for us not to make big strides in 2015. Just have to be a little patient.

I do not believe I have ever used the term "easily fixed" regarding out problems, but I've certainly said they were "very fixable." My point is simply that I don't think most of our problems are related to a lack of talent. Our problems are related to mental issues usually attributed to youth. Because of that, the same team that lost to So. Miss and Ga. Southern is very capable of going out and upsetting a team like Louisiana. The coaches did a good job of turning last season around with a strong finish (wish it had started sooner) so I'm hoping we see the same thing this season....starting this Saturday!

Given my "druthers" I would rather have our current challenge than a lack of overall talent, however it is almost more frustrating in some ways because we see glimpses of the potential and know it is there.
