I have no real basis for judgement, but even I thought there was a noticeable improvement. Band looked larger too.

I thought the band looked great, but I also thought the membership was smaller than last year, but what do I know, except the band looked and sounded great. I am glad half-time show was able to be finished.

The band was up in membership significantly I believe AppBand said in a post around 300 I believe. Last year I counted 180 including the flag people. I still want a entrance like Michigan just one time. Song choice while executed well didn't wow me.

during the march in is where I thought they looked smaller than last year. They could have made their individual rows longer thus shortening the march-in "line". I have to admit, once on the field they sounded and looked bigger. I think I counted 20 sousaphones (sp?)...

I think the band is larger than last year, but I don't think they are near 300 year. With the flag corps, I think they are still closer to 200 than 300.

I did like the half-time show. It was well done and very entertaining. I wish my son had been with me to see the Batman logo. Kudos to the BOD!

I hope the band continues to grow. Nothing more adds to the goosebumps of the game day experience than a very large group of Marching Mountaineers!

Thr band looked and sounded much better. Also, did anyone notice how much less music was played over the PA compared to past years (during the first half)?

Nothing on AppstateTV yet, but I thought to make the subscription more compelling they were to show the half time show live. I also thought they were going to archive the entire home game. They can't compete with ESPN3 for the live event but I thought they were going to post the game later. If that happens AND you have the subscription then you should be able to watch.

Maybe later today the game will be online.

When the BOD forms the block A in the pre-game show, the base of each leg of the A is completely filled now instead of open like last year. That's a good sign. The formations yesterday were more intricate than we've seen in awhile, too. That means two things to me 1) we have enough good marchers to make the formations and 2) we have someone who can design the formations. It's all good.

How often do we work in Copeland's Appalachian Spring?

At every postgame performance the band performs Appalachian Spring.

I thought that was the case, but I don't always stay around and I only get to so many games in person.

I don't remember anybody saying the band looks smaller than last year. Last year it was about 180, whereas this year it appears to be over 200. Everyone seems to agree that it is improving.
