How much of your rep points come from the countdown? Not that it is not deserved.

I am milking the fact the chancellor visited my daughter on move-in day for a few points. Reflected glory.

A very healthy portion, And yes, I milk it as well, but then again every year the 100 days of the countdown receives 15,000 to 20,000 views or more just here on MMB.
For my effort I get around 200- 250 (with lots of begging) Thumbs up/Rep points per countdown, give or take. Seems chincy IMHO but then again Mountaineers from the Appalachian region are world renowned for frugality .

With a daily 150 -250 view count range on average, I receive 1 maybe 2 atta boys. It's obvious many MMBer's make it a daily staple to check in on it, yet sometimes I wonder if folks really enjoy the countdown being posted.

I wouldn't feel too bad GAS. I've tried to give you points on almost every day. I do miss a day once in a while but I do have a lot to do. It takes me a good 20 minutes per recruit once I see a possible offer go out providing the info is close at hand. If not it takes a lot longer. I have to search all day and a lot of the night to keep watch, then call up an offer on all the sites to figure out if they are listed or not and who their other offers might be so I can put them in the thread post, next find highlights, if they're there, then go in, add them to the Main Page, construct a player page with as much info as I can find and link pictures and highlights, if available. Then post the offer into the proper thread. And each day I also check the roster for updates, the recruiting sites for offers who have committed elsewhere or those who have not posted on social media about an offer, update the pages as needed, all while still searching for more info. And this is every day. At the end of all that I get a point or two, usually from the same people.

Last years thread had 116,000+ views.

If I was doing it for the rep points I would have quit a long time ago.

Couldn't have said it better myself. For me it's just way to have a measure of some appreciation but I would still do it as well without it.

I was told we could convert rep points to gift and prizes like the old Green Stamp progam.
