So far this season we will have scored 20 points. GSU will have scored 120+, granted they played a JV and a JV1/2 but at least they can score!!
We just played a high school team by our recent standards.ebapps1 wrote:So far this season we will have scored 20 points. GSU will have scored 120+, granted they played a JV and a JV1/2 but at least they can score!!
We are still young, have a "new" head coach, have a dinged starting QB, may have faced better teams than we have given them credit for, and other reasons. Too, we haven't gotten into the true soft spots on the schedule (with the SoCon apparently being weaker than most years). Let's don't say benediction over the program just yet. There's plenty of football to be played.GoApps70 wrote:Seems like our worst team in 30 years.

We don't know that for sure, there are still some weak teams left on the schedule and as has been said, we are young and have new staff positions. We are missing player team leadership thus far.APPSTATE-H3 wrote:JCline0429 wrote:We are still young, have a "new" head coach, have a dinged starting QB, may have faced better teams than we have given them credit for, and other reasons. We just past the softest spot on the schedule. Western can not wait to play us this year.
Rod is one of the very best coaches and leaders in all of HBCU football. I warned you guys of that.bcoach wrote:We just played A&T and have not hit our soft spot yet? REALLY!!!! There is no excuse for losing to them, NONE,NONE,NONE. I didn't think special teams could get any worse till last night. The play calling is just horrible and the execution is worse. You can make all the excuses you want but WE JUST GOT BEAT BY A&T!
You are delusional if you don't realize that A&T was our cream puff game this year. Scheduled to ensure a home opener blow out.JCline0429 wrote:We don't know that for sure, there are still some weak teams left on the schedule and as has been said, we are young and have new staff positions. Did I dispute that A&T was not supposed to be a difficult target? In another post I mentioned many of the possible reasons the loss came about. Satterfield's' inexperience had something to do with it as, as I said in a previous post, he faced a much more experienced coach.appbio91 wrote:You are delusional if you don't realize that A&T was our cream puff game this year. A&T fan here and first let me say thanks for the hospitality. ASU folks were very gracious after the game. With that said, I think you guys wayyyy underestimated us. This isn't the same A&T you saw in 2010. We've added some pieces since time including a couple of key transfers from ECU and University of Colorado. We have 2 guys on our defense who should get NFL looks. Most importantly we have a top notch coaching staff that includes two former FBS head coaches.appbio91 wrote:You are delusional if you don't realize that A&T was our cream puff game this year. Nice to hear about the nice hospitality, we can't win every game but we can always be a class act on and off the field.Decks wrote:

I'm not gonna lie and say I thought we had a chance to win this game but I did think we could be competitive. Just show's that anything can happen, especially when you throw in a couple of big plays. Good luck on the rest of your season.
