They shocked me in the JMU game, so we'll see how this goes.

In the JMU game they only rushed for 37 yards, throwing for 212. They gave up 218 rushing to JMU but only 74 in the air.
No turnovers for either team.
Both teams over 100yds in penalties.

JMU fan base says their defense is awesome where they say their offense is terrible. We should do better offensively than JMU. Ga State should score more than 7 against us.

They play two QBs, Finley appears to be the primary and isn’t mobile.
Their run game is a weakness and until Saturday ther defense was pretty bad.
If we don’t lose the turnover battle we should a win.
These are the types of games we need to win to make a bowl this year.

I went back and watched parts of that game. GA State is not a good team... It looked like JMU was just not wanting to play that game.

Sure would like to have the SoMiss game back,

I"m not sure how good Southern Miss is, I think they're a bowl team, so probably not a terrible loss. They play GS, ULL, and ULM next three games and should win all three. If they don't that one may look worse.
GA St. on the other hand would be a BAD loss. Them and CCU are the weakest opponents left on the schedule.

We beat So. Miss everywhere but the scoreboard and TOs.
For JMU/Ga. St. Barnett is a on/off QB from a passing perspective. Looks like a Heisman winner against UNC last year. Pedestrian against App. St. last year.
I assume Ga. St. focused on the run. Holding JMU to 200 yards in rushing when your passing is well below average kept ga. St. in the game... And penalties.
I think jmu running game is very good. D very good.... Passing game... Depends on the week.
Ga. St. is decent. The power schools lit them up. The other games closer.
I believe we can win, however, the game may be closer than we would like given our record against this team

I hadn't realized that Swann was hurt, thought the change to Kohl was for other reasons.

I kinda like Loggains. Sure feels like we could leverage outcome from this past weekend to move the needle in the right direction. Couldn't have been a better weekend to have the sidelines full of recruits and former players. Even Joey coming in speaks volumes about the program. I feel better about this coming weekend even with how their JMU performance played out. GO Mountaineers!!!

This seems right to me. Georgia State isn't a very good team, despite their close game to JMU. I'm waiting on some more folks to say, "GSU is a lot better than their record!" like they did for Oregon State. I think App wins, but probably closer than most games against GSU in the past.
Either way, I'll be in the stands with the whole family! Atlanta is close and tickets are cheap!

GSU is a lot better than their record. Hope that helps the cause.

Smells like a smoke screen, but glad GA St has to prep for both.

Based on what Loggains said at Mountaineer Talk, I think he has a preferred QB, one with a higher ceiling but a lower floor.

Can someone tell the Athletic Dept media person to trim the dead space at the beginning of these pressers before posting? It is a VERY simple thing to do if they have the video editor. It stinks to have to sit on video for 5 mins waiting for it to start.

For GA St. I'd prefer to play the one with a higher floor and let the other one heal up fully.

GA St.'s injury report shows quite a few defensive injuries, but I'm not sure our Oline can keep the pressure off of Swann, listed as questionable, but you knows the games being played on them.
