Our Mountaineers begin practice later this week. It has been a long and eventful offseason, like non other than we have had in recent history. But now it is clearly time for Mountaineer Football once again. GO Mountaineers!!!

I look forward to hearing updates about the practices and how our players are progressing. It will be refreshing to be able to talk football, and not so much about University of North Carolina at Charlotte, UNCheat, and Liberty.

I've been jonesing for about a month now! Recruiting tidbits can only do so much, especially when you do not want to get your hopes up on some of these "hard" verbals, which as well all know can become "soft" very quickly. I always look forward to the daily recap on goasu.com, errr, appstatesports.com and I especially look forward to DJ's "Around The Mountain" video/audio recaps. Between practice starting up, and Panthers camp going strong, I'm content until the end of August, or at least until Fanfest.

The thing about the blocked kick to end the season is that past that night, we never had time to digest it. Sunday afternoon, that game might as well have been ten years ago after the Moore news broke.

And then with the hiring of Scott, the Sun Belt move and everything in between, last season seems like it was in a different age.

I'm as female as can be but I live, breathe, love football and APP!! I count down from the last game in the fall until kickoff the next year!!
Beer? Not so much... Had my first one in 45 years a week ago on the beach in Duck, NC... But I'm sure it won't be the last!!

Gotta admit to being puzzled about "male" comment. Has football gone the way of Dr. Pepper 10?

This female is ready for grilling some grass-fed, local beef for tailgates and watching some serious App State football!
