Has anyone else seen a fairly large swing in their Priority points?

Yes. They started assigning the points by your total/historical giving vs just your current year giving.

So I check mine fairly often, and it's pretty comical at how much it swings prior to the season starting. I don't know what in the world they do with it but it seems they change their mind/correct errors/whatever it may be about 20 times in the off-season. This isn't new to this year.

Once the season starts it seems to stay put. It also doesn't really seem to affect ranking all that much so I guess it does it for everyone.

I don't pay much attention to my actual number of points, but I did notice my rank dropped about 300 spots despite upping my donation by ~20% this year. A good sign for YC, I guess.

Do you see a large swing in your actual points, or are you talking about your ranking? I see my ranking change quite a bit, but that is just a reflection of when people actually renew their Yosef Club accounts. My points remain pretty consistent.

My points went up but my ranking fell. My understanding is that was due to some funds that were found that were never credited to the donors. It was a good chunk of change. One other possible reason for the decline in rank could be that more people are making multi year pledges. These get you the credit now without paying the freight up front.

Looks like point bonuses are being applied now. Such as renewed membership and increase in donation bonuses. My point total increased and ranking fell as well.

Mine also says this year my rank is xx out of 6482, last year was xx out of 9400. And the swing in points is huge. Good job Yosef

Log in to your account and go to the bottom right link under donations.
