Wonder if this is all his idea or coaches have told him he won’t make the two-deep, or something else?

It's gotta be a tough situation for any athlete to transfer over mid way through a season. Why not stick it out?

Hate to see anyone leaving mid season but apparently he didn't want to be here. Maybe one of those conversations that happened over the past couple of weeks. I wouldn't know, but if he wants to be elsewhere, I wish him the best!

I've wondered that if you surveyed every player who hits the portal and asked them why they made the decision how many would say that they liked their school, team, coaches and teammates but just wanted to leave. I'm sure 0% would say they were happy with all 4. Obviously any competitor wants to play and if a guy finds that he simply isn't gonna get on the field he should make his decision and be happy but some of this stuff gets out of hand. I really hate watching a game and the announcers constantly refer to a guy as "the X team transfer " or the former "X team running back". I know it's an aspect of the times but once a player is on a new team who cares where they came from?

if he can't crack into being happy with playing time in our current group, that says something.

I enjoyed listening to Thomas Hennigan on the BGP episode the other week. He spoke about how Covid made it difficult to weed out a lot of guys who weren't a great fit. Some of the guys who aren't 'App fits' may be contributing to the difficulties this season. Not sure if this is an example or not, but seems like something to keep our eyes out for the rest of the year.
I do wish him the best in his future endeavors.

According to the GAST, he was number 2 at Free Safety, behind Ronald Clarke.

I don't know him but we have friends in common .They shared nothing negative about us or him.Just wants something different.If there is more to story I have no idea.

He's an adolescent. There may not be any other reason except he's not feeling it.
